Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis scored 16 points each to help the Milwaukee Bucks cruise to a 99-85 victory over the struggling Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
Beno Udrih had nine points, 10 assists and six rebounds for the Bucks, who shot 42 percent from the field and improved to 2-2 at home.
Tyler Hansbrough scored 17 points for the Pacers, while Gerald Green and Paul George added 12 points apiece. Indiana, which shot 38 percent, lost its fifth straight on the road after a season-opening win at Toronto.
The Bucks scored the first seven points of the game and led throughout. Their lead was as high as 27 in the second quarter and 32 early in the third before they played their reserves throughout the fourth.
The Pacers' offense has struggled so far this season as the team adjusts to playing without Danny Granger, its leading scorer of the past five seasons. Granger is out for about three months with a patella problem in his left knee.
Tobias Harris scored the first five ...

MILWAUKEE -- Monta Ellis and Ekpe Udoh are going to give it a try Wednesday night against Indiana. Both missed practice Tuesday and didn't participate in Milwaukee's shootaround Wednesday. Bucks coach Scott Skiles saw both as questionable, but both told him they wanted to play. Ellis injured his thumb in Monday's victory over Philadelphia. The swelling was so great Tuesday...
MILWAUKEE -- Early on, Samuel Dalembert was becoming an afterthought. Sure, he'd be in the starting five, but in the first four games of the season, Dalembert would exit quickly and sometimes never return.Acquired from Houston in an offseason trade to give the Bucks the true center they lacked after Andrew Bogut was injured and then traded a year ago, Dalembert was watching his...
ST. FRANCIS, WIS.- The Bucks are 4-2. So far, so good, right?Well, yes, but Milwaukee sees an opportunity for more. With two very winnable home games left this week and a trip to Charlotte on Monday, the Bucks want to be 7-2 before heading to Miami next Wednesday. Milwaukee has only been 7-2 or better through nine games twice since 1983. With the Danny Granger-less Indiana Pacers...
The Indiana Pacers had no problem putting the ball in the basket last season against the Milwaukee Bucks, but that was with Danny Granger in the lineup.
They could sure use him there now.
Indiana goes for its first road win in five tries Wednesday night when the Bucks try to avoid a third straight home loss.
Led by Granger's 21.7 points per game, Indiana averaged 116.0 as...
With the quickness of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, it is logical for Scott Skiles to give the offense more freedom.
MILWAUKEE -- Ekpe Udoh let it be known as he came through the Milwaukee Bucks locker room."It's a great day to be a Milwaukee Buck." He'd be hard pressed to find someone who disagrees, at least for one night. Milwaukee sensed a struggling opponent and buried them, leading by as many as 32 points to move to 5-2 on the young season. "That's something coach...
MILWAUKEE -- Jumping out to an early lead wasn't a problem for the Milwaukee Bucks last season. Holding on to those leads was another story. It wasn't a problem Wednesday, though, as Milwaukee opened with a 24-7 run and led a game from start to finish for the first time all season in a 99-85 victory over the Indiana Pacers. "Not only getting out to the lead but being...
It's been a pretty disgusting season thus far if you are a Pacers fan, and last year's miracle run to the second round appears to have been a fluke.Granted, it's probably still too early to write off this team, but the signs have rarely been worse. On Tuesday, they scored just 72 points in a loss against the Raptors, and this was after managing to hold the Raptors to...
Personally, I met Drew Gooden a couple of years ago when covering the Cleveland Cavaliers and overall, he's a stand-up individual along with being a quality NBA player. However, when this recent photo surfaced of Drew's head...it needed to be posted on this fine website: (Courtesy of Slanch Report)
Let’s look at the media contingent for the INDIANA PACERS. Newspaper- The newspaper of record in Indy is the Indianapolis Star. The online version of the paper has a fairly comprehensive sports section (Twitter), including a dedicated page for the Pacers. Beat writer Mike Wells (Twitter) also keeps up on the Pacers Insider blog. Columnist Bob
INDIANAPOLIS -- Who needs rest after playing a triple-overtime game the night before? Evidently not the Toronto Raptors, who edged the Indiana Pacers 74-72 Tuesday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse despite getting outscored 14-5 in the fourth quarter. "Our defense carried us," Raptors coach Dwane Casey said. "Defense will travel well. If your defense is not rolling, you...

Two nights ago, the Milwaukee Bucks watched Boston take control of a close game in the fourth quarter by stepping up and making shots.
Monday night found the Bucks yet again in the fourth quarter of a close game. This time around Milwaukee clamped down defensively, which lead to easy baskets and sealed the Bucks 105-96 win over Philadelphia, their first 3-0 road start since 2001...
