MILWAUKEE Tobias Harris couldn't remember if he had ever gotten a technical foul before in his basketball career. The mild-mannered, soft-spoken Bucks small forward had to have been awfully mad to get one Wednesday night. Harris drove to the hoop late in the second quarter of Wednesday's victory against Sacramento and appeared to have been hit by Kings guard Francisco Garcia. No foul was called, and official Ken Mauer quickly gave Harris a technical. As it turns out, the contact caused some damage. The wound required four stiches and the laceration on Harris' right elbow will keep the 20-year-old out of action for 7-10 days. Going from starting to playing a total of just 10 minutes in December, Harris got an opportunity for more playing time Wednesday because the Bucks have been hit hard by injuries and illness. Along with Harris, small forward Mike Dunleavy and point guard Beno Udrih did not travel with the team to Cleveland for Friday's game. Udrih, who has ...

Ellis won't change game to bust out of slump

MILWAUKEE -- Ask Monta Ellis about his career-low shooting percentage, and his answer will be simple. He'll say that he's getting his usual shots, that he just needs to knock them down. Ellis is a scorer, so naturally he believes he can make just about any shot on the court, and he certainly has during his eight-year NBA career. But as this season's numbers continue to...

Bucks vet Gooden provides valuable energy

MILWAUKEE -- Drew Gooden has stayed ready for his number to be called. To his credit, many in his situation wouldn't have been. Lost in the shuffle with an abundance of big men, his first minutes of the season came in Milwaukee's 18th game and that eight-minute stretch occurred when the Bucks had victory well in hand. Gooden has admitted it hasn't been easy, but he...

Bucks finding ways to overcome injuries

Banged up, battered and bruised, the Milwaukee Bucks found a way to get the job done yet again. Playing down three players, with three more fighting to play through injuries and illness, Milwaukee won its fourth straight game. Forcing 27 turnovers, the most by an opponent since 2003, the Bucks did just enough to squeak out a 90-86 victory in Cleveland. While the headlines will...

Bucks Wednesday: Depth tested against Kings

MILWAUKEE -- The depth of the Milwaukee Bucks will be tested Wednesday night as they will be without four players against the Sacramento Kings. Forwardcenter Ekpe Udoh (sprained left wrist), point guard Beno Udrih (sprained right ankle) and small forward Mike Dunleavy (bruised left knee) all missed practice Tuesday and won't play against the Kings. Just an hour before tip,...

Depleted Bucks hold off Kings

MILWAUKEE -- It wasn't pretty, but considering the circumstances, the Milwaukee Bucks aren't complaining about their 98-85 victory over Sacramento Wednesday night at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Already playing without key reserves Mike Dunleavy Jr. (bruised knee) and Beno Udrih (sprained ankle), a sprained ankle kept starting center Joel Pryzbilla off the court and Larry...

Bucks-Cavaliers Preview

A visit to Cleveland should provide the Milwaukee Bucks with a good opportunity to extend their winning streak to a season-high four games. The Bucks can accomplish that feat with a ninth consecutive victory over the Cavaliers on Friday night. Milwaukee (11-9) has not trailed over the final three quarters in any of its last three games, holding opponents to averages of 88.7 points...
