A matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards would normally see two of the league's most promising young point guards go head-to-head in John Wall and Brandon Jennings. Instead, two of the biggest surprises in the frontcourt could be in the spotlight in Friday night's matchup in the nation's capital. Wall still hasn't played because of a stress injury in his right knee and currently has no target date for his season debut. Washington is 0-3 without him, including a 100-94 overtime loss at Boston on Wednesday - four days after an 89-86 home loss to the Celtics. Both defeats to the perennial Eastern Conference contender were close, but represented missed opportunities. "We know that the Celtics are a great team and we know that we have the potential to be a great team as well," rookie Bradley Beal told the team's official website. "We are not going to back down from anybody," added the No. 3 overall pick, who had 16 points W...

Still Waiting for the Bradley Beal Breakout

Image courtesy @KevinHineWoA with WizOfAwes.com     Prior to this year’s Wizards season tipping off, I had an article in the que titled “This is Bradley Beal’s Team until John Wall Returns.” I was even going to do a whole Batman/Robin bit too (since Beal has proclaimed his love for Batman) on how Beal could be the Batman on this team for now. Three games into the season...

Three Games In, Wizards Still Winless

Wiz Early Season Report (AP Photo/Elise Amendola)   Three games have come and gone and the Washington Wizards have yet to claim victory. So far this season it has been the same misery that happens to us Wizards fans year in and year out. But this misery actually has some promise and has us doing some wishful thinking to what we can accomplish when we can get our two best players...

Bucks Beat Wizards – Jennings/Beal Ejected

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Washington Wizards Friday night, 101 to 91. The Bucks moved to 3-1, and the Wizards fell to 0-4. The Wizards started the game with a 12-0 run. The Bucks spent the first two minutes missing shots, turning the ball over, and allowing breakout layups. It was spectacularly bad. Then they regrouped, shot well from the three point line, and got themselves...

Video: Brandon Jennings & Bradley Beal ejected late in Bucks-Wizards game

Tweet     The Washington Wizards dropped to 0-4 on Friday with a 101-91 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Wizards rookie Bradley Beal had the best scoring game of his young career with 22 points, but this play is what many will remember about his fourth NBA game. Beal received a Flagrant Foul 2 and [...]

The All-Overpaid Team (Joe Johnson, Anyone?)

PG: Beno Udrih- Over 19.8 million dollars - This is Udrih’s last year on his contract, but he is not even worth half of the 7 million that the Bucks owe him. He has always been a decent point guard, but solid shooting and decent scoring and passing does not make him worth that much money. SG: Joe Johnson- 19.8 million dollars - Johnson is and has been a very good player throughout...

Bucks dealt sobering slap in face by Grizzlies

MILWAUKEE - Scott Skiles summed up Wednesday night in just a short phrase."They pretty much owned us," the Bucks coach said just shortly after watching Memphis cruise to a 108-90 victory at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. Except for a short period of time in the first quarter and a short stretch in the third quarter, Skiles was spot on. The Bucks struggled to make shots...

WE Game Recap; Wizards vs. Bucks: Ejections Highlight Another Late-Game Collapse

bucks 101 wizards 9111/9/2012 - Verizon Center, Washington, DCESPN BoxscoreNBA.com Game Highlights   Despite the improved offensive numbers, especially from the starting line up, I refuse to acknowledge Trevor Ariza or Emeka Okafur as the MVP of tonight’s game. I think it’s a no brainer that it’s Bradley Beal. Besides his game high 22 points, he was also clutch...

Wizards fan makes dunk while on cell phone (VIDEO)

With the NBA product what it is, many teams are incorporating fans into activities during timeouts to maintain interest.  The Washington Wizards pulled out some serious stunts this past Saturday against the Boston Celtics.  They grabbed fans out of the stands to follow mascot G-Man’s lead by attempting dunks after jumping off a trampoline.  After several average Joes failed...

Bucks 101, Wizards 91

WASHINGTON -- Monta Ellis paced five double-digit scorers with 22 points and the Milwaukee Bucks' reserves keyed a 13-0 second-half run in a 101-91 win over the Washington Wizards on Friday night. Mike Dunleavy and Larry Sanders each scored 13 points off the bench. Sanders and fellow reserves Ekpe Udoh and Beno Udrih carried the entire scoring load during the decisive spurt...

Wizards-Pacers Preview

The Washington Wizards opened last season with eight straight losses. Already halfway there, they now visit a city where they haven't won in over five years. One of two winless teams remaining in the NBA, the Wizards will try to capitalize on the struggling Indiana Pacers on Saturday night. Washington (0-4) started 2011-12 with eight straight losses, and eventually fired coach...

Memphis Grizzlies Tony Allen swats Larry Sanders dunk attempt (Video)

Since Milwaukee Bucks forward Larry Sanders is 6'11, you would assume that he would have an easy time throwing down dunks on smaller opponents. However, check out this nice defensive play from Tony Allen rejecting a Sanders dunk attempt last night:

Grizzlies conquer road, run over Bucks

MILWAUKEE -- With three of their first four games this season on the road, the Memphis Grizzlies knew starting strong would be a difficult task. But after their 108-90 victory Wednesday at Milwaukee, that stretch is behind them and the Grizzlies have settled into the NBA grind with a 3-1 record. "(Being) 4-0 would be better but it's better than 1-3," said center Marc...

Early tests for C’s lie ahead

Celtics Big Three look towards their first test: 5 games in 7 days this season starting tonight. After the first 2 weeks of the season the Celtics have started out slow with the only things to show for it are two wins by the skin of their teeth against probably one of the worst teams in the NBA (especially with John Wall and Nene both injured), the Washington Wizards. The lack...
