CLEVELAND -- With Derrick Rose missing his third straight game because of the injury to his big left toe, the Chicago Bulls shot 59.1 percent and led the Cleveland Cavaliers 63-44 at halftime Friday night.
Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose said he has a little "regret" about playing two games last weekend on an injured toe that now threatens to keep him out of a third straight game.
[Derrick Rose] is a great point guard, the best probably in the game, [but] it’s just another game. I’m not really facing Derrick Rose. I’m facing the Chicago Bulls. It’s the Cleveland Cavaliers versus the Chicago Bulls. That’s what I’m looking forward to.
- Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving on Friday’s opponent Derrick Rose and the Chicago Bulls. Rose is questionable...
Oof. Cleveland fans, this was not a good showing by the Cavaliers. Kyrie Irving got the Cavs started early with 11 quick points. It was all downhill from there as the Cavaliers shot 30% while allowing the Bulls to have their way in the paint. Chicago finished shooting 55.4%.
Oh, and Derrick Rose didn’t play.
Carlos Boozer scored 17 of his 23 points in the second half to lead the injury-depleted Chicago Bulls to a 95-89 win over the struggling Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night.
