Chicago Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich is scheduled to undergo another MRI on his severely bruised calf today. Hinrich’s injury is failing to progress as the team hoped, and coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters – including K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune – that the guard “has a ways to go” in his recovery.Hinrich’s initial MRI showed damage to muscle fibers in his calf, but he hasn’t recovered as the Bulls expected. For this reason, the team will take another look at the injured calf to see if there is additional damage delaying Hinrich’s return.Hinrich didn’t participate in morning shootaround yesterday, and he missed yet another playoff game last night. While the swelling in Hinrich’s calf is going down, Thibodeau said he still isn’t moving well."He tried the last pregame in the Brooklyn series and he wasn't quite there," Thibodeau said. "Hopefully he continues to improve."Hinrich sustained his injury during the Bulls’ first-round seriesagainst the Brooklyn Nets when he took a charge from point guard Deron Williams. In his absence, Chicago has used Nate Robinson as a starter.Follow @hoopsinjurynews
