Carmelo Anthony sat out Monday night against the Utah Jazz. Anthony is the NBA’s second-leading scorer at 27.5 ppg and he has missed his sixth of the last eight games with his right leg injury. In addition to Anthony, center Tyson Chandler missed Monday night’s game as well with a neck strain, leaving Kurt Thomas, who’s been starting in place of Chandler, played off the bench despite a bone spur in his right foot. According to the New York Times, there might be a glimmer of hope on the horizon for fans to see one of the NBA’s best suit up again. Melo says he could return as early as Wednesday.
