There were countless things that didn’t happen tonight, that lead to the Pistons getting the beatdown tonight from the Cavaliers.  Poor rotation on defense, guys out of position, offensive sets that were out of sorts, guards firing bullet passes to big men not ready for them, etc.  Tonight’s game was flat out hard to watch. The lone bright spot for the Pistons was the emergence of 2011 lottery pick Brandon Knight.  Knight enjoyed a bit of a coming out party against his lottery mate, Kyrie Irving, with 23 points on 10/13 shooting including a 3 pointer to close out the 2nd quarter and 10 points in the 3rd quarter.  The kid proved why the Pistons decided to pick him with the #8 overall pick in this past year’s draft, and like George Blaha said, this is the first of many games like this for Knight. Vernon Macklin saw some garbage time minutes, and finished 1/2 from the field with his only basket coming off of a highlight worthy no-look pass from his draftmate, Knight. Jonas Jerebko got...

Pistons defense not painting a pretty picture so far

The Pistons see it every practice. "We put it right up there for them," coach Lawrence Frank said Thursday, pointing to a sign of team goals displayed on the wall of their practice gym. Pistons push Pistons fans to edge of the cliff with their play, and I’m tired of them threatening to jump off

In podcasts, Natalie and I (and Dave) do shtick for an hour about how bad the Pistons are gonna be.  We joke about CV’s lack of hair, Ben Gordon’s lack of skills, and Rodney Stuckey’s ego among other things.  Deep down, we want the team to do well and it bothers us when they don’t.  I can say one thing about last night though… It was 1 game.  Step back off the ledge...
