The New York Knicks were getting clobbered by the Golden State Warriors last night and it seems frustration set in for Knicks' J.R. Smith that he took it out on Warriors' Harrison Barnes. However, here's the thing... I think he should not have been tossed after official review. Looking at the video below, it is clear Smith came down hard on Barnes to stop an easy bucket but he did not wind back to land a hit on Barnes? No. Should he have gotten a flagrant-1? Yes. Was this a malicious hit? No. Check out the video below of Smith's hard foul on Barnes and you be the judge. [follow]

J.R. Smith Says He Has A Target On His Back After Monday’s Ejection

J.R. Smith doesn’t have the most favorable reputation in the league, which may be why he said he has a target on his back after being called for a Flagrant 2 foul on Harrison Barnes and an automatic ejection in Monday night’s game in Golden State.  Smith tried to stop a Barnes layup with both hands slapping down at the ball, but caught part of Barnes head.  The play didn...

Did JR Smith deserve this flagrant 2 foul call during Knicks vs. Warriors?

JR Smith was ejected from Monday night’s match up against the Golden State Warriors for a flagrant 2 foul on this play in the third quarter. A flagrant 2 foul is an automatic ejection. Check the play and see if you agree with the call.   I think this call should be rescinded. If the Serge Ibaka shot against Blake Griffin wasn’t a flagrant 2, how can you call this one?   source
