A rookie in the NBA has many growing pains. From rookie hazing, the coach being extra hard on you, lack of quality playing time to opposing teams focusing on your lack of pro-level experience.
Yes being a rookie in the NBA is difficult and nothing proved this more than Kings' Ray McCallum recent stint at trying to defend Sixers' Tony Wroten.
During the first quarter of the Kings-Sixers game, the rook had his ankles torn to bits by Wroten. I mean it was just plain nasty!

YouTube If Kings rookie guard Ray McCallum hasn’t had his “welcome to the NBA” moment yet, he did Wednesday when Tony Wroten’s crossover dribble broke his ankles and sent him to the floor. In the first quarter of the Kings-76ers battle, Wroten got an isolation against McCallum on the right wing. A crossover in front of McCallum and an around-the-back dribble, had the rookie...
The Sacramento Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins dropped the hammer down on Andre Drummond in Tuesday's game. The stepdown move to create space for the throwdown jam was sensational footwork by Cousins. The authority of the dunk sent Cousins’ headband flying into the first row. The post Video: DeMarcus Cousins Posterizes Andre Drummond appeared first on Basketball Bicker.
The Kings recalled forward Royce White from the Reno Bighorns, the team announced Thursday night.
White signed a 10-day contract with the Kings March 6 and was assigned to the Bighorns. White averaged 8.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals in 24.8 minutes per game for Reno.
White has not joined the Kings on the road. The Bighorns play at Idaho Friday and Saturday.
There was a level of embarrassment the Kings wanted to avoid.
The coaching staff didn’t mention it in the pregame talk, but all the players knew the Philadelphia 76ers entered Wednesday night’s game with a 17-game losing streak.
And despite their own struggles, the Kings weren’t capable of losing to the woeful 76ers, coasting to a 115-98 victory to end their three-game losing...

How bad are things in Philadelphia right now? Even when something goes right, it eventually ends up wrong. After dropping a home game Wednesday night to the almost-as-sorry Sacramento Kings, 115-98, the Sixers have now lost 18 consecutive games. At this point, amidst such an epic streak of futility, you’d think the players would throw their fans a bone for just showing up to the...
In what has been a disappointing season for the Philadelphia 76ers, bright spots have been few and far between. Even when it looks like things are going well, they really aren’t. We saw an example of this during Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. Sixers guard Tony Wroten showed some impressive ball handling skills to […]
If John Loyer had an internal blueprint for how this Pistons team would win games, their second- and third-quarter performance against the Sacramento Kings will be framed and referred to for future reference.
After bringing their nonexistent defense with them from Boston, they ratcheted it up against a more explosive Kings team, one that features three players averaging 20 points...
