According to a report by Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Celtics and Courtney Lee have met, and the Celtics have emerged as a “serious suitor” for Lee.
The Boston Celtics have emerged as a serious suitor for Courtney Lee after coach Doc Rivers met with the free-agent guard Saturday night, according to sources familiar with Boston’s thinking.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Celtics, in the wake of losing sharpshooter Ray Allen to the Miami Heat, have racheted up their pursuit of Lee as a possible replacement. Lee averaged 11.4 points per game for the Houston Rockets last season and hit 40 percent of his 3-point attempts.
The Celtics don’t have the salary-cap space to sign Lee outright, but sources say that the Houston Rockets have let it be known that they’re willing to participate in sign-and-trade deals with both Marcus Camby and Lee amid the increasing likelihood that neither of those coveted free agents will be returning to Houston.
He goes on to say that the Wolves, Hawks, Pacers, M...

After watching Hall Of Famer Ray Allen bolt to the rival Miami Heat, Celtics fans are finding out that Avery Bradley will miss the first half of next season due to another shoulder surgery.
The Boston Celtics opened their Summer League with a 73-65 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder, though the score of these games barely matters.
Let’s get right to the early assessments. First, the returning players:
E’Twaun Moore: His shot was spotty early. He hit a few nice mid-range jumpers, but he had a tough time from long-range. He picked it up a little in the second...
It’s not the biggest deal in the world, though I liked his shot blocking ability and I always thought he was an underrated shooter… but Greg Stiemsma’s agent says he wants to play in Minnesota.
Stiemsma agent re: on-hold discussions with Wolves: “He wants to play for Minnesota. Greg has a lot of patience.”

After a year marred by injury, trade rumors, demotions and disappointment, Ray Allen abandoned the Boston Celtics' stalled -- if not sinking -- ship, and on Friday, the legendary sharpshooter washed up in one of the last places you'd have ever expected.

Looking at the photo above probably extracts an emotion from
you one way or another but to me, the photo above doesn’t mean much. The acquisition of Ray Allen for the
Miami Heat will be perfect for both parties. Ray Allen now gets his wish of standing in a corner taking
four three pointers a game while not doing much else. I get that making your opponent stronger is...

With Ray Allen joining the Miami Heat, its not surprising that some Boston Celtics fans would be a little irritated by the move. One fan in particular decided to get his revenge by posting this Boyz N The Hood scene with the faces of Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen pasted over the actor's faces.Watch as Ray almost gets shot by Rondo:
As the word trickled through in regards to Ray Allen’s decision to jump out of Boston and head south to their arch-rivals in the Miami Heat, the reactions have been varied.

The loss of Ray Allen stings a little bit less knowing Jason Terry is ready to throw on Green. But the Celtics could still use some backcourt depth, especially if Avery Bradley misses the start of the season. O.J. Mayo and Courtney Lee are reported to be two potential targets for Boston. Both would be welcomed additions, but acquiring them would take a bit of finagling, as a sign...
Greg Stiemsma went from zero to 60 last season with the Boston Celtics, and he may have shown a little too much potential for the Boston Celtics’ liking. The Boston Herald is reporting that Stiemsma has a $3 million offer from the Minnesota Timberwolves. While I’m not sure exactly how the Timberwolves plan to have that cap space available in the slim chance Portland passes on...

Ray Allen has agreed to sign with the Miami Heat. Though the Heat could only offer Allen half of what the Celtics offered – a one year contract for $3 million which isn’t a big deal considering Allen has made over $170 million in his NBA career – Allen reportedly was thinking about the other [...]
The number one pick in the 2012 NBA Draft Anthony Davis, was just three-years-old when veteran Free Agent center Marcus Camby played his first season in the Association, however the 38-year old big man is still a highly sought after player this summer, with five teams reportedly interested in trying to sign him. The veteran of 16 seasons, still can alter a game defensively and averaged...
