ESPN’s Marc Stein reported Thursday that the Celtics were interested in signing former Bobcat forward, D.J. White, to a 10-day contract. Doc Rivers confirmed that the Celtics are indeed brining in White prior to Boston’s game in Phoenix Friday night. In his fifth year out of Indiana, the power forward averaged 21.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game with the Shanghai Sharks who recently finished up their season. White has previously played for the Charlotte Bobcats and the Oklahoma City Thunder with career averages of 6.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.

Charlotte Bobcats Land Josh McRoberts, Makes Little Noise at NBA Trade Deadline

The Charlotte Bobcats have disappointed, yet again. Not only have they been abysmal for the majority of this 2012-13 NBA season, but they couldn’t even add some extra excitement during the NBA trade deadline this year. Tyrus Thomas is out of the rotation and is widely regarded to be on the outs with the franchise. [...]

Charlotte Bobcats Complete Most Insignificant Trade of All Time

I’m so excited about the Bobcats trading Hakim Warrick to the Magic for Josh McRoberts! Not because I think the trade will matter much—seriously, Weird Al Yankovic albums have more significance than this deal—but because it frees me up from having to think about last night’s loss to the Pistons. Against Detroit, the Bobcats sandwiched [...]

C's shortlist of big men: DJ White, Jerome Jordan, Louis Amundson and more

Breaking news: The Celtics are shockingly looking for big men to fill the two roster spots they have! (Yes, I'm having fun with those who thought the Celtics made a mistake by not trading for a big yesterday as if the league abounds with them.) Steve Bulpett has reported a shortlist of five names: From today's Herald, big man names C's have discussed: Jerome Jordan...

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist May Not Be Able to Beat Michael Jordan, But He Can Still Dunk Pretty Well (Video)

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist plays for the Bobcats, meaning he has to do something amazingly good or amazingly bad to get people’s attention. Last week, he did something amazingly bad when his 19-year-old body couldn’t take down just-about-50-year-old Michael Jordan. But this week, the rookie has redeemed himself somewhat with a stellar dunk. Kidd-Gilchrist, who is averaging 9.1 points...

Bobcats can learn from back-to-back losses

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two perennial playoff teams came to Charlotte this weekend. Both left the Bobcats with double-digit losses. But what the Bobcats saw was two differing models of the blueprint to the foundation they're trying to lay. The version they saw Saturday night in a 113-99 loss to the Nuggets is built on everything the Bobcats have done wrong over the last couple of...

Bobcats outplayed in lopsided loss to Bulls

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - It wasn't hard to figure out Friday night why the Charlotte Bobcats have the worst record in the NBA. You didn't even have to look at the scoreboard, the one reading 105-75 in favor of the Chicago Bulls. Forget their league-worst 42 percent field-goal shooting, too. Forget that Charlotte likely didn't start a single player that would have started...

Bobcats Trade Hakim Warrick For Magic’s Josh McRoberts

The Charlotte Bobcats parted ways with Hakim Warrick (6.9 points and 3.2 rebounds) in exchange for Josh McRoberts (3.9 points and 3.7 rebounds) from the Orlando Magic. According to ESPN: A person familiar with the situation says the Charlotte Bobcats have acquired Josh McRoberts from the Orlando Magic in exchange for Hakim Warrick.

Fantasy Basketball Rookie Report Card: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

Photo Credit: Christian Petersen/Getty Images North America I first scouted Michael Kidd-Gilchrist back in 2008 when he was just a slender sophomore at St. Patrick’s High School. Playing alongside the likes of Kyrie Irving and Dexter Strickland, it was MKG who was the chief product of the hoops hype machine — the next big thing. He had all the physical gifts in the world and...

Bobcats trade Warrick to Magic for McRoberts

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats acquired Josh McRoberts from the Orlando Magic on Thursday in exchange for Hakim Warrick in a trade involving two backup veteran forwards. The 6-foot-10 McRoberts, who played at Duke, has appeared in 41 games this season with three starts and is averaging 3.9 points and 3.7 rebounds. Warrick, in his eighth NBA season, was acquired earlier...

KG to Sit vs Suns - C's Set to Sign White

Kevin Garnett will sit tonight vs the Phoenix Suns and Jeff Green will get the start in his place. Small ball doesn't begin to describe what we will see tonight. More like "Mini Ball." There is help on the way, however. The Celtics are set to sign DJ White, who could be in uniform as soon as Sunday. White, who is a 6'9" forward, played in China this past...
