(AP Photo/Elise Amendola) First, the bench came through for the Celtics last night. They played like we envisioned them playing when we first saw them on paper. The timing for them to come through couldn't have been better. With 4 games in 5 nights, Doc needed to keep the minutes for the starters down. In order to do that and still get a win, the second unit had to come through. And, they did. With Rondo turning his ankle and needing to sit out much of the second half, Leandro Barbosa came through for the Celtics, running the team at the point and adding 16 points and 3 assists. He got to the hoop, hit jumpers, and kept the offense moving in the absence of Rajon Rondo. Rondo went to the locker room and came back to the bench. Word was that he was available to return, but with Barbosa doing the job, there was no need. Rondo is listed as day to day with a sprained ankle and so we could see a lot more of Barbosa tonight. Jeff Green showed his nasty side tonight. He was aggressive and played with more confidence than we have seen from him yet in the regular season. Hopefully his 16 points and 4 rebounds will be a confidence boost and will lift him to even better games in the future. Jason Terry didn't have the best game, with just 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists but I absolutely loved seeing him standing on the sidelines and waving his towel in ML Carr style to get the crowd and the team excited. I've mentioned MrTripleDouble10 as an inspiration for an article before, and he did it again this morning. The very first tweet I saw this morning was one from him with 3 videos. Those 3 videos happened to be my 3 favorite moments from last night's game and I started this morning thinking I had to go searching YouTube for them. But there they were all wrapped up in a very neat tweet from MrTripleDouble10. He should be declared a national treasure. First up, is Jeff Green's monster dunk over Al Jefferson. I loved Green's aggressiveness in this game and more importantly, his confidence. That's something we haven't seen in previous games this regular season. Next up, is KG's nifty assist to Barbosa. That play literally took my breath away. It was just an amazing play all the way around. Seeing that play told me that the chemistry is coming along fine. They are learning each others tendencies and it's showing in the wins. The third video was one I was really hoping to find somewhere. It was Tommy's rant on Mike Callahan after the travel call on Jeff Green. If there's one thing I love, it's Tommy Heinsohn rants. They are priceless. Leave it to the incomparable MrTripleDouble10 to capture it for us to enjoy. Finally, here's another video with a play that we have seen repeated 3 times in the past 2 games and seems to becoming a standard for these Celtics. It's the alley oop from Rondo to KG. Seems like KG is going back to his days as "The Kid" or maybe someone called the "Fun Police." Either way, this play is so much fun to watch. We are also seeing the return of the alley oop from Rondo to Chris Wilcox that was so much fun last season. They are even more fun this season. [Discuss on CG Forums!]
