Back in the days when I attended high school, the only way to score a prom date was to ask someone that you knew or go for the gold by asking the hottest girl in your class. (Clearly, I should have re-thought that second plan!)
These days, high school students have used the realm of social networking to get famous actresses and even NBA/NFL players to accompany them.
Recently, a high school student by the name of Stephanie Flores did her best to court Houston Rockets forward Chandler Parsons via Twitter to be her date:
@chandlerparsons pleaseeee make my life and escort me to my prom on May 31st!!! A simple response would make up for it. I am a huge fan!!!

Eventually, Stephanie did get a reply from Mr. Parsons but sadly, she didn’t get the answer that she probably wanted:
Thanks for the invite @steph_marie03. Unfortunately I’m not in Houston. I hope you have a great time!! Be safe.

However, the news wasn’t all bad for her since the Houston Rockets and Chandler helped pay the tab on an awesome party bus for the night:
Big thanks to @houstonrockets @chandlerparsons for this party bus! You made my prom even more special! @traceynba twitter.com/steph_marie03/…
