Speaking with CNBC via yardbarker, the always outspoken Charles Barkley revealed his thoughts on the Martin/Zimmerman verdict yesterday. And as one can imagine, it was thoughtful, unexpected and slightly against the grain. “Well, I agreed with the verdict. I feel sorry that young kid got killed. But they didn’t have enough evidence to charge him. Something clearly went wrong that night. Clearly something went wrong. I feel bad for anybody who loses a kid, but if you looked at the case and you don’t make it — there was some racial profiling, no question about it. But something happened that changed the dynamic of that night, and I know — that’s probably not a popular opinion among most people but just looking at the evidence I agreed with the verdict.” As usual, Charles not only feels just a little differently than the vast majority, but he has the guts to say it out loud. It’s really a logical stance, not an emotional one – he feels bad for a young boy who was killed, agreed there was a racial element involved, but didn’t see enough evidence to convict. I might not agree, but it’s always hard to argue against Chuck. And yes, I’m being careful so I don’t get rioted. Draya Looked Great At ESPYS Mandela The Pistons Fan
