Sportress of Blogitude:
The brief time that Andrew Bynum has spent as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers has been an unmitigated disaster, and that’s putting it kindly. Since being part of a four-team trade on Aug. 10 that shipped the center from Los Angeles to the City of Brotherly Love, Bynum has yet to appear in a single regular season game for the 76ers due to a bum right knee, a frustrating fact for Philly fans only exacerbated by the news that Bynum reportedly injured his left knee in November while bowling. Yep, bowling.
Then there is that follicle-based atrocity that sits on top of his head that he calls a hairstyle:
The whacked-out hairdo, among other things, has become fodder in a delightful animated short entitled, “Yo Bynum!! Pick Up A Basketball!!” In the cartoon, Bynum is kidnapped by members of Philadelphia 76ers royalty, Charles Barkley and Allen Iverson.
Sir Charles and A.I. berate a tied-up Bynum about pretty much everything under the sun, from missed practices, including a re...

AROUND THE WEB
Believe it or not, but there are some fans of the Los Angeles Lakers who have been clamoring to have Andrew Bynum back in town showing their unhappiness for Dwight Howard this season. The funny thing is, a lot of fans in Philadelphia would probably be fine if Bynum left town too. It has just been that kind of season for Bynum, a season that is seen the Sixers’ 7-foot center...
AUBURN TIGERS FOREVER!
Motormouth basketball analyst Charles Barkley decided to tweak his college rivals tonight during Thursday night's NBA on TNT broadcast. Barkley, who played his college ball at Auburn, opened the broadcast with a bandage wrapped around his head. The Chuckwagon quipped that he had been mugged and robbed on a trip to Tuscaloosa, a not-so-veiled allusion to the arrests of four Alabama...
Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum is looking less and less likely to make his end of February time-table. He has returned to the court; doing some cutting, running, and taking shots at various points on the floor, but has had to reduce the workouts because of some unexpected pain in his surgically repaired knee. The [...]The post Dommermuth: Andrew Bynum Suffers Another Setback...
Andrew Bynum is still unsure of his return.credit: delcotimes.com
There has been a lot of bad news surrounding the two players that many consider to be the best two centers in the league, Andrew Bynum and Dwight Howard. Howard has battled injuries while his Lakers have struggled, and Bynum has yet to see the floor for the 76ers.
Here we are in February, and Andrew Bynum is still...
TO EACH HIS OWN
Karl Malone said that Charles Barkley used to keep Vaseline in his belly button during games. Find out why he would do that.
Charles Barkley, being the Auburn Alum that he is, couldn’t resist taking a shot at the Alabama Crimson Tide football players that were recently arrested for assaulting a student and stealing his credit cards. Nothing like Chuck in front of a camera during All Star Weekend to keep things entertaining.
[Saturday Down South]
As you probably know, Charles Barkley went to Auburn. Like most other Tigers, he is not very fond of Alabama. Barkley is also one of the most outspoken television analysts in sports, which is why it comes as no surprise that he wore a bandage and put fake blood on his head on the set of TNT’s “Inside the NBA” Thursday night to poke fun at the recent Alabama player arrests....
Charles Barkley, an Auburn alum, did not miss an opportunity to zing rival Alabama following the arrest of four of the Tide's football players for beating up a student.
The 2012-13 season has seen quite a few teams start the year without their star players. Some teams had their guys return from injuries already and it’s been an improvement for those teams. Dirk Nowitzki returned to the Dallas Mavericks and they’ve played a little better, but you can tell he still isn’t in game [...]
From Philly.com's Pattison Ave:It has been a disappointing season for the Sixers thus far, as they currently sit out of playoff positioning, and have yet to see a single second of game time from their prized off-season pickup, Andrew Bynum. It is fair to say that at this point in the season the team has left fans with little to be excited about. The bright spot in an otherwise...
For what it's worth, they won.
Timberwolves guards Ricky Rubio and Alexey Shved both participated on Charles Barkley's team, Team Chuck, in Friday night's BBVA Rising Stars Challenge. Barkley's crew defeated Shaquille O'Neal's, 163-135, in a high-scoring and completely unrealistic game that eventually devolved into a dunk exhibition.
Rubio, who started the...
Last season, Kyrie Irving led a furious attack as Team Chuck beat Team Shaq in the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge. Irving finished with 34 points while connecting on all 8 of his attempted 3 point field goals. In his sophomore season, when the opportunity arose for Charles Barkley to “re-sign” his MVP, he went elsewhere. [...]
