Thursday night is the first time the Knicks and Celtics share the same court following the Celtics’ 102-91 win on Jan. 9 at Madison Square Garden. That game was highlighted by an on-court altercation between Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony, ending with the Knicks’ forward waiting outside the Boston locker room after the game. In days following the verbal battle in New York, Anthony claimed Garnett said to him that Anthony’s wife, La La tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios, a claim with Doc Rivers has denied. Anthony prepared for this night accordingly. The All-Star forward added security as he made the trip to Boston, rightfully anticipating a hostile TD Garden crowd. And while Anthony’s sure to endure some verbal jabs from the Celtics’ faithful, the signage in the arena is sure to be much tamer thanks to TD Garden security. According to the New York Daily News, Cheerios boxes and signs were confiscated before the game, limiting the amount of the amounts of taunting directed at Anthony...
BEST OF MAXIM
BOSTON -- Carmelo Anthony and his Knicks teammates didn't know what to expect from the Celtics crowd in the first game between the two teams since Anthony and Garnett had their little spat on Jan. 7 in New York. But what the New Yorkers DID know and always know is that Anthony has to score for the team to win. And that's what he did to lead the Knicks to an 89-86 win and...
Throughout the Celtics latest losing streak, there seems to be a lot of reflection going on within the team's locker room. A few days ago it was Doc Rivers questioning how bad the team 'wants it' and threatening to get rid of players if the team doesn't start winning. Last night Paul Pierce questioned the team's mental toughness. Among those currently in a state...
The rumor spreading around after the Celtics defeated the Knicks back in New York was that Kevin Garnett told Carmelo his wife tasted like Honey Nut Cheerios. This provoked Melo to wait outside the team bus to confront Garnett, an act he was later suspended for.
That rumor was obviously hilarious and, true or not, it turned into a national story, and soon after, material items....
No matter what was said between Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett during and after the last time the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics met, Anthony says the incident is behind him.
Thursday night's rematch in Boston simply is one between two struggling teams looking to right the ship.

For the first time since 2006, the Knicks came away victorious in Boston on Thursday night. While such a win puts an end to such a frustrating and traumatizing losing streak, perhaps it also symbolizes why this a season is one more different than any other in recent years for the Knicks.Clearly an NBA powerhouse over the past few seasons, the Celtics have always seemed to have New...

Kevin Garnett: 24 Points, 10 Rebounds
Kevin Garnett gave us a great performance tonight, and it was unfortunately wasted. He rebounded well, shot well, and was only slowed down by fouls/minutes. He got gassed at the end, and his last two fouls were stupid...
