Season Highlight: If you’re simple looking at stats, Omer Asik tallied two 15 rebound games against the lowly Bobcats. But, if you look outside the box score, Asik had his best game April 12 against the Miami Heat. His block on D.Wade with 4:20 left in OT with the Bulls up 86-84 led to a and-1 fast break dunk for Taj Gibson and put the momentum on the Bulls back for the remainder of the game as they went on a 10-2 run and got the win 96-86. Asik had 8 rebounds, 2 big blocks, and played outstanding defense.
Season Lowlight: He shot 45.6% from the free throw line this season, that number got put on blast when he missed both free throws in Game 6 vs. the Philadelphia 76ers in the first round which ended up costing the Bulls the game and their season. He played a spectacular 38 minutes and 53 seconds, but that all got erased when he stepped away from the line.
