Today’s game between the New Orleans Hornets and Cleveland Cavaliers was about much more than a game when superstar Hornets guard Chris Paul left the game immobilized on a stretcher. In a sobering moment, fans were reminded of just how precious life is and to never take it for granted.

Late in the third quarter, Paul attempted to regain control of the ball hitting Ramon Sessions head first sending him instantly to the floor. Chris Paul was taken to a Cleveland area hospital and is listed with a head injury rather than an injury to the spinal cord as originally feared. No word on a possible timetable for a return, however, the fact that he is talking and moving his hands and feet is encouraging. We’ll continue to provide updates as they are made available.
