Blake Griffin may be one of the most physical and ferocious players in the NBA, but he’s developing a reputation for being a flopper. Chris Webber played with known flopper Vlade Divac on the Sacramento Kings, and he understands that’s not a reputation a player wants. That’s why he warned Griffin about flopping so much after the All-Star forward acted to get a call in his favor during the third quarter of Game 4 between the Clippers and Grizzlies on Monday night.
“I would caution him to be careful of flopping. I played in the playoffs with teams that were known for floppers, and you do not get respect,” Webber said on TNT. “Flopping is not a plus in this game. … Coaches and GMs watch tape and send it in to the league. You do not want to be known as a flopper. You lose respect.
“I definitely would caution him on the over-exaggeration of embellishing getting hit out here on the court,” Webber said.
Webber actually put that all politely for Griffin. Blake probably thinks he has an ex...

Jarrett Jack to NBA Refs: Stop Falling For Blake Griffin’s Flops
Santos
Flopping in the NBA has become an overwhelming problem throughout the league. It truly takes away from the physical nature of the game, and its not just the fans that are noticing.

POTD 5/7/12: Blake Griffin on Hamed Haddadi
Individually, Blake Griffin had been having a rough go of things throughout his first three playoff games. He’d struggled to score in the post, failed to hit from the outside, and contributed heavily to one of the worst free-throwing performances in playoff history. Still, the Clippers had the advantage in the series, and a strong, 30-point showing from Griffin helped LA...

Andy FlintStrange things can happen when big fellas start banging in the paint. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen this happen before. Luckily Blake was fine, but the 300 lb Gasol did major damage to Griffin’s left shoe.

Paul, Griffin injuries could be significant
It wasn't the worst-case scenario, but it's pretty close. Wednesday night in Memphis, the Los Angeles Clippers failed to close out the Memphis Grizzlies, losing by 12. Blake Griffin sprained his left knee, and Chris Paul strained his right hip flexor in the second half of the Clippers' loss...

Charles Barkley discusses Blake the flopper Griffin
Blake Griffin is a spectacular athlete. He's the greatest pure dunker since Shawn Kemp was a Sonic, his YouTube comedy videos are hilarious, and he's even got me respecting Kia Motors a little bit. His post game isn't quite there yet, but I think it'll come eventually, and he just went for 30 the other night before fouling out. But, he is also a pretty blatant flopper...
