Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
TY @chriswilcox44 from Boston #Celtics for visiting @hearts4izzy in hospital today. A wonderful, selfless, classy gesture to do.

Against all odds, the Celtics had 2 players miss last season due to open heart surgery. Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox are scar buddies now and they will forever be linked by that shared experience. They are both back with the Celtics this season and thankful for another chance to play the game they love with the Celtics.
These two guys are not just good basketball players, they are great people. In August we posted the story about Chris Wilcox taking a truck load of supplies to a food bank to help out. Earlier this month we posted about Jeff Green hosting young heart patients at the Garden and sharing his story with them. Today, we have yet another story about Chris giving back to the community. Chris was at Children's Hospital in Boston visiting with young heart patients. I'm proud to have these two guys on the Celtics. They are definitely good people.

We’ve all marveled at Jeff Green’s performance thus far in preseason. There’s been the dunks, the blocks and the all-around explosiveness. Expectations among Celtics fans are very high going into the 2012-13 season. NBA.com’s Sekou Smith also believes that Green is on the cusp of what could be a very productive year:

The Celtics have reached a deal with Leandro Barbosa for the league minimum. What kind of impact will the veteran guard have on his new team?
Probably not a large one.
Not to take anything away from Barbosa, but the Celtics are loaded at the guard positions heading into the season. Plus, Barbosa is a huge liability on defense and really the only thing he would be able to contribute...

There is NO DOUBT Jason Terry is already enjoying his time in Boston. The newest member of the Boston Celtics decided to PRANK some folks with just a cardboard box and one of his teammates.
The reactions are PRICELESS…..even his.

COLUMBIA, Md. — They say you can’t teach size. You sure can buy it. The Boston Celtics boast three 7-footers and the 6 feet, 12 inch Kevin Garnett on their current 15-man roster. The question is; can any of them play? The NBA regular season is just five days away, so here’s a look at [...]
Celtics fan favorite and CSNNE reporter Brian Scalabrine previews the upcoming season.
WALTHAM, Mass. -- Ray Allen has been busy this week filling

his view, anyway -- during his time with the Celtics. The new member of the

With a full day of practice behind him today, "The Brazilian Blur," Leandro Barbosa is officially a member of the 2012-13 Boston Celtics. The Ray Allen stories just won't stop coming. In an article from Fox Sports Florida, legendary Celtics players/broadcasters Tommy Heinsohn and Bob Cousy are quoted as saying the C's should retire Allen's #20.

And on the fourth week, the Celtics rested.
After opening training camp three days earlier than any other team, the Celtics find themselves with an unusually long duration between games this week. They have an eight-day layoff between their final preseason game and their regular-season opener against the Miami Heat next Tuesday, and as the last days of preseason wound down, the...
