The Portland Trail Blazers will be without first round draft pick C.J. McCollum indefinitely after he broke a bone in his left foot which will require surgery.As reported by Erik Gundersen of The Columbian, "Terry Stotts initially told the media following practice Saturday that C.J. McCollum had sprained his foot and left practice early." "However, the Trail Blazers public relations department later announced via twitter around 4:30 this afternoon that McCollum sustained a fracture of the 5th metatarsal bone. The Trail Blazers announce that a date has not been announced for surgery. This is the same left foot and same bone that McCollum broke during his senior season at Lehigh which also required surgery.""The Trail Blazers added that a prognosis will not be made until after the surgery is done."McCollum was chosen 10th in the 2013 NBA Draft out of Lehigh. He is the leading scoring in Lehigh history and one of the best in the country. McCollum was averaging 23.9 points per game as a senior at Lehigh in 12 games before breaking his foot.  During the 2012, he averaged 21.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He scored 2,361 points as a 4-year starter at Lehigh and shot nearly 38 percent from 3-point range.He’s best known for scoring 30 points against Duke in the 2012 NCAA Basketball Tournament to lead the 15th seeded Lehigh team to perhaps the biggest upset in Tournament history against the No. 2 seeded Blue Devils.
