Los Angeles Clippers point guard Chris Paul suffered a strained left hamstring in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 102-94 win over the rival Los Angeles Lakers.Paul’s status was not known after the game but he was examined by the Clippers training staff. "I don't want to speculate," Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said in the press conference following the win. "His leg got tight. We'll see if it's a cramp, a strain, whatever it is, and we'll evaluate it. "Chris is a fighter. He's competitive. If he can get out there, he will, and we'll be smart about it because we have a lot of games still left." Paul scored 33 points and dished out six assists in the win Saturday. He’s averaging 18 points and 8.4 assists in his first season with the Clippers. Los Angeles faces the New Jersey Nets at home Monday.
