On the final play of the third quarter Sunday night, Clippers forward Blake Griffin caught a pass in the corner from Matt Barnes and drilled a three-point basket. The smile on Griffin's face as he walked back to the bench might as well have been a belly laugh.
That's what the Clippers had against the Phoenix Suns -- a laugher.
Their 103-77 victory at US Airways Center was surely among the most impressive of their winning streak, now 13 and counting. They pulled away with a dominating third period, led by as many as 28 points and buried the dispirited Suns under an avalanche of threes.
This has been a season of erasing bad streaks and establishing new ones. The Clippers ended a 10-game losing streak at Phoenix dating to April 17, 2007, and stretched their road winning streak to six, another franchise record. They're now 21-6, haven't lost since Nov. 26 and are 9-3 away from Staples Center.
