Losing streaks can do nasty things to teams. Losses, particularly on a team that expects to compete for championships, bring frustrations to the surface and a search for what is going wrong. The Clippers snapped a four-game losing streak two weeks ago with a victory against the Timberwolves. That losing streak though began testing Los Angeles and the team's role as contender in the Western Conference. Wins over the Spurs and Grizzlies looked nice, but that four-game skid included losses to Atlanta and New Orleans. Not exactly title-contending teams. The home loss to the Hornets especially struck a cord. In that loss, Blake Griffin scored a career-low four points and there was some frustrating bubbling. Griffin came out after the game and vented some of that frustration that comes with losing streaks in a loss. After that loss to the Hornets two weeks ago, Griffin questioned the rotation and changes to the gameplan coaches implemented beforehand: I think we tried ...

Blake Griffin throws down alley-oop vs. Bulls

It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything Blake Griffin-related, but on Tuesday night he popped right back on our collective radar screen. Griffin’s Los Angeles Clippers were playing the Chicago Bulls, and his point guard, Chris Paul served up a beauty of an alley-oop to him. On the play Paul drives towards the lane, faces a double-team, and as a result finds Griffin wide...

Blake Griffin says T.O. was begging Clippers for a contract

Terrell Owens has always fancied himself an excellent basketball player. After struggling to find work as a professional football player, the 39-year-old unemployed wide receiver apparently was trying to convince the LA Clippers to give him a shot. Clippers forward Blake Griffin was a guest on “The Dan Patrick Show” Tuesday and was asked which football players could play in the...

Blake Griffin Can Apparently Dunk Well

Not much needs to be said about this little alley-oop that Griffin finished, except that the gentleman has some hops. It should also be noted that the Clippers have won 7 straight, the longest streak since 1991 when Blake was 2 years old. [@cjzero] Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

Blake Griffin & DeAndre Jordan Put On A Show As Clippers Win Seventh Straight

Prior to their 94-89 win in Chicago, it’d been a while — about twenty years, to be specific — since the last time the Clippers won seven games in a row.  Back when Blake Griffin was still rocking pampers, Ron Harper, Danny Manning, and the ’91/92 Clippers ran off eight consecutive victories on their way to a seventh place finish in the 13-team Western Conference.  At 47...

Weekend Recap, Featuring The Clippers

Clippers 117, Suns 99 ***Blake Griffin played like a rookie in the first half, and I say that in the most complimentary of ways.  He was energized and aggressive against the undersized Suns, matching his season scoring average with 18 first-half points.  He ended up finishing with a routine 24, but his slowdown can be attributed to a lack of playing time.  Griffin didn’t see...

Clippers-Bobcats Preview

The Los Angeles Clippers' latest surge is their best in more than two decades, and there's little reason to believe the woeful Charlotte Bobcats will slow them down. Los Angeles looks to match its franchise-record eight-game winning streak Wednesday night while dealing host Charlotte a ninth consecutive defeat. The Clippers (15-6) have followed up a four-game skid from...
