The usual complaints about the refs.   Interesting that they still have the Celtics are old thing going there.    I guess they haven't looked at the Celtics roster lately.   For some reason the gif and exchange at the end really cracked me up.  Enjoy today's comments.... Boston is old, old old. We have young legs to run. If we can get out and run like pretty much everyone has on Boston this season, we'll have our chances. Here's to hoping that Tobias can smother Pierce again and that Jennings and Garnett go at it. Here's hoping the young guns continue to improve and we can build some early season confidence with a two game sweep of the lowly Celtics and their punk Extraordinaire KG. Can Jennings outplay Rondo two games straight? It seems a stretch, but that would be oh so sweet. Boston is struggling right now, it would be very nice to kick them while they are down. We have no chance of winning unless we neutralize Jeff Green. Neutr...

Your Morning Dump… KG wants Jeff Green to be more of an a-hole

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. And nobody seemed to relish this fiesty, bad-boy side of Green more than Kevin Garnett. “Jeff’s a really, really nice guy,” Garnett said. “Some nights, you just gotta be an asshole.” And the turning point...

Jeff Green Shows Up With Some Great Defense in Fourth Quarter in Celtics’ Win Over Bucks (Video)

Celtics fans have been patiently awaiting the arrival of Jeff Green. A potent scorer with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Green joined the Celtics in 2011 but missed all of last season with a heart ailment and has had trouble fitting into the flow of the Boston offense this season. On Saturday night, though, he seemed to be doing better. As well as dropping in 12 points — eight of them...

Video: Jeff Green was not at all happy after last night’s Boston Celtics loss

Imagine how you would feel if you returned to your locker room after (another) bad game, already pissed off, only to have a sea of reporters (most of whom will be writing bad things about you) shoving microphones into your face and asking to discuss how and why you’ve been not very good this year. The answer for Jeff Green is easy: Play better. But when he doesn’t play so well...

The Strange Case Of Jeff Green

Editor’s Note: Guest writer Eddy Delsignore is back with a terrific piece about Jeff Green and how he fits into the Celtics. Delsignore uses some inside information and strong insight to really evaluate who Green is on the basketball court and whether or not our expectations for him are too high.  Let’s go back to around February 25, 2011. One of the most controversial trades...

Celtics' Garnett, Pierce do in Bucks late

MILWAUKEE - Sometimes a complex game like basketball can be so simple. A game that featured 17 lead changes and multiple momentum swings can be summed up pretty easily. "They made shots when it counted," Bucks guard Monta Ellis said. "It was a hard-fought game. They made more shots than we did and they came out with the (win)."Saturday'sgame was even at 74...

Pierce scores 25 to lead Celtics to 96-92 win over Bucks

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- It's been a rough start for the Boston Celtics. They came to Milwaukee on Saturday night looking to recover from a tough loss at home the night before to Philadelphia, and also to avenge a season-opening blowout, also at home, to the Bucks. And while it may not have been pretty, the Celtics' 96-92 victory could go a long way towards helping a team with...

Analyzing the Shot Chart: Courtney Lee

There’s been lots of chatter (too much actually) on the early season struggles of Jeff Green.  While it’s far too early to make any significant judgments, especially with such small sample sizes, it’s always good to at least take a look into certain patterns or issues.  Green is not the only new(ish) member of the Celtics that has been off to a slow start.  Jason Terry had...

Doc's dilemma

The Celtics mantra has and always will be "we got to grind it out." they have no choice, given how their season is going.  It all boils down to trust and learning how to play in a different way. Last year's role players were great defenders, but couldn't find the hoop when it mattered. That anemic Game Seven in the  Eastern Conference Finals was oh so  painful...
