Found March 14, 2013 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
It was sad to see 4 pages on one game thread and 19 on another.   Those game threads used to have over 100 pages every game.  The Celtics did get the benefit of some calls last night.     I'm amazed at how many fans hate their head coach.   Makes me very thankful for Doc.  Good game for the Celtics.  Not so much for the Raptors.  Enjoy today's comments...   This will sound strange, but I'd like to see KG trash talk JV, just to see how he handles it. All JV's attitude signals seem great. Just one more test. I mean, if he says JV's mom takes like Coco Pebbles, is KG going to get punched out for the first time? Man the raptors suck lol. To me beating Boston would feel better than beating pretty much any other team. Lets hope they can ****ing do it. Celtics need to win they're going back to the finals According to espn we were most likely to ruin the Heat win streak lets warm up with Celtics. A win against the Celtics would help erase some of the bad taste from the Lakers loss. Ugh can't stand seeing Anderson's face any more... Can't wait till he's gone next year (hopefully) Really want to see Celtics win the division title, just to see knicks bandwagoners rage. We got this, just need to contain KG and run the damn floor for easy buckets. My sources tell me Boston is pissed about getting blown out by the Bobcats We will lose tonight Val can't be taking those shots with someone like Garnett on you 5 vs 8 again. Bass gets rejected by the rim... foul on Jonas... okay refs.. Wow these refs are letting them get away with a lot. That was over the back on Garnett. He fouled JV Listening to the Celtics feed. Rather see them crying about a call than Leo's wonderful analysis Do we actually have a coach? I didn't see the foul on Wilcox there... But I wished our team could pass as good as Boston. Our offense is dreadful Raps aren't allowed to breath on the Celtics Why are they not attacking Pierce right now. He has 2 fouls and they have not done anything to get him his third Casey isn't at that level yet At this point as a Raptors fan, the only choice I have left is to laugh at this circus called the Raptors organization...poor us Is it just me or does it seem like they pump crowd noise in Boston? Some day the Celtics announcers will look back on this day. Not for KG's milestone, but because their jokes about T-Ross being unstoppable will come true. Down by 7 with things starting to go the Celtics way and Casey continues to sit the starters? This guy is not even a D-League coach I ****ing hate Anderson so ****ing much. Pierce just hopped in and pulled that board From three Raps’ hands. This is the best defence we've played all season. Everyones on a string, and we're contesting not only the shots, but the passes and lanes too. Beautiful to watch. KG making JV a non factor Just tuned in, I see derozan scrubbing it up again Good defensive team, plus his arch nemesis Courtney lee. Celtics have no PG. We send in two. Casey Logic FTW Celtic's screens Anyone notice that on every screen, they hold onto Raptor’s jersey or block out with their arms to prevent help? Do they ever call that or is it just “tough basketball” It's because they do it EVERY TIME so they won't get called The Celtics hold the league officials in a basketball 'Stockholm Syndrome'. Wow if DD even manages to get a switch off Lee its just gonna end up being Bradley anyways lol. Celtics guards are lock-down. Pierce has always been one of fav players. If you take out the 49 points Boston scored, the Raps are up 40-0! Our only hope is to have good enough talent next year to off-set Casey's horrible coaching These Dummy Celts announcers Just said Avery Bradley is the best all time at poking the ball away. Tommy's given to hyperbole. And every time he does it it riles me up anyway. Jeff Green is the next Paul Pierce and Avery Bradley is literally the next Michael Jordan. Going to the grocery store tomorrow, ribs are on sale? That’s because of Avery Bradley. This is the fifth time Pierce is able to get a Raptors player to jump, SMH. Leo: Paul is like the old guys at the Y LMAO THESE REFS ARE PATHETIC BOS pay well these refs THESE REFS ARE SOMETHING ELSE EVERY FOUL IS ON US Boston getting alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the calls tonight These commentators for the C's are so bias lol At this rate, Pierce is gonna shoot more fts than Dwight These Celtics are cocky for a team that has the refs in there backpocket That along with their general d-baggery is why I hate the refs and I hope they never win a championship ever and hopefully have a long slow painfully rebuild I'm so **** done with this game the refs are calling everything for the **** Funny thing is if Bradley played like this on the Raptors he would have 5 fouls right now. Bradley is dominating Lowry... Fixed. Bradley is fouling Lowry... No wonder Bradley is such a good defender dude gets away with straight up hacking players and doesn't get called for it. I guess it's a reputation thing. Crawford has looked solid. Really good pickup by Boston at least telfair is ejected that makes up for how **** we played. As much as the refs have screwed us, we really have no right to win this game. Our team **** sucks. Telfair ejected. More BS from the refs. Boston isn't even an elite team. Why do they get calls? We had Boston's lead down to 4 and the refs single-handedly put it back up to over 10. Mentally the Raptors collapsed but it had nothing to do with Boston's play. Any team would collapse when it's always one step up and two steps back with the refs. HAHA WOW Boston went to the line 30 times in the third quarter. Bull ****ing ****. Sorry but did people expect us to win in Boston where the Celtics are 22-9? It's not about winning, its about the Raptors making absolutely terrible plays and getting blown out by the second unit of Boston. Does anyone think it's a given that the Raps will be better than Boston next season? OH man... We would be lucky to be better then the bobcats, maybe we will get a decent pick and get rid of BC? LOL, and that's not even a joke. At least the Bobcats have a 1st round pick coming. The Raps will likely be scratching their behinds all summer. No capspace, no draft pick, no playoffs. Thanks BC.... We have 4 starters out there and are still getting trounced by their reserves... Rudy worse then advertised Regretting that trade. Sad days in Raptor land Rudy Gay, 11 points on 16 shots. He was totally outplayed by both Pierce and Jeff Green Casey's is awesome bringing in his starters down 24. You have to know your players strengths. Team is filled with garbage players. Garbage time is the perfect time to let them show their strengths. Rudy's having the time of his life out there right now. Yay raptors basketball!! I hate this f***ing team Wow…This team is so hard to love… [Discuss on CG Forums!]

Paul Pierce might rest tonight

Hearing Paul pierce may have tonight off for rest — greg dickerson (@gdickerson_csn) March 12, 2013 Got to hand it to Doc… he’s taking advantage of the schedule to rest guys at times that minimize the impact on the team. If Pierce sits, Jeff Green will start.  I’m also going to bet this means KG sits tomorrow night.  He’s due for another day off.

Paul Pierce Hopes Heat Loses All Of Their Remaining Games

You can’t tune out the fact that the Miami Heat have won 20 straight games and are now tied for the third-longest winning streak in NBA history. The longest, 33 in a row, was done by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers. But, if you ask Paul Pierce what he thinks about the potential of playing the Heat on a 22-game win streak come Monday, he simply doesn’t care and if truth be told...

Celtics not impressed by Heat winning streak

"I really don't even care. I hope they lose every game the rest of the season. I just worry about what this team does"-Paul Pierce I just love this team. No other team in the league is as hardcore as the Celtics. They don't care about being liked and what other teams/fans think of them.  They embrace the rivalry they have with the Heat and don't try to suck...

Celtics-Raptors Live: With Paul Pierce Back in Uniform, Celts Aim to Snap Losing Streak

8 a.m. ET: OK, so the first part of this back-to-back didn’t go the way the Celtics planned. With Paul Pierce taking the night off, the Celtics “laid an egg” in Charlotte on Tuesday, in coach Doc Rivers’ words, dropping their second straight game and losing a bit more ground in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Now, after failing to take care of business against the league’s...

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Continue to Play Large Roles in Celtics’ Move Up in Playoff Standings (Audio)

It wasn’t that long ago that rumors were swirling about drastically changing the Boston Celtics roster to make a playoff run, but after no blockbuster trades were made, the C’s find themselves sitting pretty in the standings and working with what they have. Only 3 1/2 games back of the New York Knicks in the division standings, the Celtics can almost look back to earlier in the...

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce Connected By More Than Just Gaudy Statistics in Sincere Friendship

BOSTON — Twenty years from now, in a break in the action during a Celtics game at the new TD Garden, some precocious little girl or some meathead from the South Shore will show up on the video screen for one of those fan trivia contests. At stake will be a free Apple iChip, the digital music device that is installed directly into the user’s skull, and the question will hearken...

Rivers Compares Avery Bradley’s Defense To Scott Pippen

In just his third year, Avery Bradley is one of the NBA’s best on-ball defenders. He’s impressed Doc Rivers so much that the Celtics head coach compares Bradley’s persistent defense to going up against one of the best defensive players of all time, Scottie Pippen. According to ESPN: Rivers has taken to comparing Bradley to the likes of Scottie Pippen, Derek Harper, and...

5 Things Celtics must do to win tonight - Raptors 2/13

After last night's loss to the Bobcats, the Celtics will head home for a matchup with the Raptors. Last night's loss was depressing. They showed no effort and deserve criticism. They need a better game plan tonight. Here are the five things: 5. BETTER SHOT FROM KG: In Charlotte, Kevin Garnett shot just a horrible two of ten from the field. Of all the people to not try, Kevin...

Recap: Second half surge leads to blowout of Raptors

The Celtics took a 9 point lead into the half, but with about two and a half minutes to go in the third, the C’s hit the gas and left the Raptors in the rear view mirror.  They crushed the Raps 112-88 for their 10th straight home win.  The Celtics bench was a giant part of the blowout, outscoring the Raptors bench 58-29. The Green:  Paul Pierce had a nice return from his day...

Raptors-Celtics Preview

The Boston Celtics have played surprisingly well since losing point guard Rajon Rondo for the season. They were stunningly awful without Paul Pierce for the first time in 2012-13. Pierce should be back on Wednesday night when the Celtics try to win their 10th straight at home and 10th in a row overall versus the Toronto Raptors. After the Celtics' five-game winning streak...
