The NBA season will begin on October 24, so teams around the league have made an abundance of transactions over the previous 24 hours.

On Saturday, the Dallas Mavericks announced that they had made two roster moves.

Via Mavs PR: "The Dallas Mavericks have converted Dexter Dennis and Greg Brown III to Two-Way contracts.

Dennis will wear #17.

Brown III will wear #13."

Brown III was initially the 43rd pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Texas.

He has played two seasons in the NBA (both with the Portland Trail Blazers) and has career averages of 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 42.2% from the field and 29.4% from the three-point range in 64 games.

Meanwhile, Dennis went undrafted in June after five seasons of college basketball playing for Wichita State and Texas A&M.

Last year, he averaged 9.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 39.2% from the field and 31.0% from the three-point range in 34 games.

Since they are on two-way deals, Dennis and Brown III will likely play for the Texas Legends (G League) in addition to the Mavs.

The Mavs will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season on October 25 when they visit the San Antonio Spurs

They are coming off a year where they were the 11th seed in the Western Conference with a 38-44 record.

After making the Western Conference Finals in 2022, the Mavs missed the NBA playoffs, so the season was a disappointment.
