Dallas Mavericks Player Is Still A Free Agent
USA TODAY Sports

Frank Ntilikina is coming off a season where he played in 47 games for the  Dallas Mavericks and averaged 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 36.4% from the field.

The 25-year-old has spent the last two seasons with the franchise, but this summer he became a free agent.

On Saturday (over four weeks into NBA free agency),  Ntilikina still remains available for any team in the league to sign.

In addition to the Mavs, Ntilikina has also spent time with the New York Knicks (who drafted him with the eighth pick in the 2017 NBA Draft).

His career averages are 4.8 points, 1.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 37.1% from the field and 32.3% from the three-point range in 316 regular season games (he has also appeared in 15 NBA playoff games).

Considering he has played six seasons and was once a top-ten pick, Ntilikina could be an excellent addition to the bench of a contending team (or a young team looking to develop talent).

While his offense has never been elite, Ntilikina has been regarded as a solid defender throughout his NBA career.

As for the Mavs, they are coming off a year where they went 38-44 and were the 11th seed in the Western Conference.

Despite having a talented roster that is led by Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, they ended up missing the NBA playoffs (and the play-in tournament).

That said, the Mavs will be seen as a team who can make the 2024 postseason.
