Found March 15, 2012 on Red's Army:
The NBA trade deadline has passed and the Celtics did NOT make a major move (at this hour, we haven't heard word of a minor move). Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce will all be wearing Celtic green for the rest of the season. There was a completely false Twitter report that the Clippers backed out of a deal that would have sent Ray Allen to Los Angeles for a Eric Bledsoe and a 1st round pick. SI's Chris Mannix reported "interest in Paul Pierce picked up today but Boston's asking price (first round pick, expiring contract) was too high." There's still time for a minor deal to trickle in. Maybe something involving Marquis Daniels for a yet-to-be-named big man. New Orleans was unable to move center Chris Kaman. If they decide to buy-out the remaining money on his $14 million contract, the Celtics would be interested. So would the Heat, Spurs and many other teams. There was plenty of action across the league. Portland gutted its ...

Jackie Mac thinks Ray Allen’s gone after this season

I’m not sure whether Jackie MacMullan has sources or whether this is just her opinion, but she believes Ray Allen is gone after this season. (ESPN Boston)“I really do think Ray [Allen] will move on,” she said. “I think he’ll have some great opportunities to do so, I think he’s got some years left in him, and I think he’s a great sniper for a championship team —...

The true story behind the Ray Allen injury scare, in his own words

As Ray Allen dissolved to the LA Clippers version of the Staples Center hardwood on Monday night, I feared the worse. Taking into consideration, the time change AND the fact that Ray looked to be injured on a no-contact play, as ESPN described it. All early facts seem to point towards an injured Achilles tendon. [...]

Report: Celtics offered Pierce to Portland

Color me skeptical... but's out there. While Boston Celtics boss Danny Ainge has said Rajon Rondo will not be traded, he is still actively seeking offers for members of the Big Three. The Celtics offered Paul Pierce to Portland -- I'm not sure what they asked for in return -- but the Blazers were not interested because of the two years and $32 million remaining...

Paul Pierce trade rumors: Danny Ainge offered Pierce to Portland Trail Blazers

When reporters spoke to the Boston Celtics before yesterday’s game against the Golden St. Warriors, Paul Pierce joked with them about still being in Boston as the trade deadline approached. Reporters thought he was kidding, and he probably was, but the comments might have had serious undertones.According to ESPN’s Chris Broussard (Insider), the Celtics offered Paul Pierce to...

Has Ray Allen been traded?

Twitter is exploding with news that the 3 Point King has been traded. We'll keep you posted. If you hear anything, please post a link in the comments section. In other NBA news the Nets just acquired Gerald Wallace for a 1st rounder. The Lakers have just traded for Ramon Sessions. Big move for the Lakers. Sessions is so much better than the corpse of Derek Fisher it's not even funny.

Rajon Rondo's 360 jumping behind the back pass may be the best of the NBA season

Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo with the best 360 jumping behind the back pass you'll see this year against the Warriors. Every time you check your email, think -- gotta check Bob's Blitz. Follow... Full story at Bob's Blitz ~

Pierce Offered To Blazers By Celtics

The Celtics have offered Paul Pierce to the Blazers, but the team intends to preserve their cap flexibility.

Celtics Live Blog: Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo in Take on Warriors, Look for Two Straight Wins

9:30 a.m. ET: Celtics fans are in for another late night as their team travels to Oakland, Calif., on Wednesday to take on the Golden State Warriors. Kevin Garnett is no doubt looking forward to this game, because for the first time in three games he won't have an All-Star big man to contain. The Warriors (18-21) are more outside-oriented than the Celtics' recent foes, with...

Celtics-Kings Preview

Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics had been playing well even with the distraction of the trade deadline looming. Now that it's come and gone with his team still intact, Garnett will try to lead the Celtics to another win over the struggling Sacramento Kings on Friday night. After scoring 21 points in a victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, Garnett had a team-leading...

Multiple Contenders Pursuing Ray Allen

Ray Allen is being pursued by several contending teams.

Celtics fell asleep in Sacramento, lose to Kings 120-95

This game was a case of looking ahead. The Celtics were focused on the Denver Nuggets tomorrow night instead of the opponent tonight, the Sacramento Kings.  Marcus Thornton and Co. capitalized on this with a big win over the Celtics, 120-95. The first quarter belonged to the Kings.  Sacramento started off with energy and determination, which caught the Celtics by surprise. ...

C’s better by doing nothing?

The NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and all the same guys are still here.  I’d like to that Danny Ainge for listening to me.  Everybody’s main concern now about the Celtics is their lack of big men; Greg Stiemsma is the only active true center on the roster.  But recent numbers show it might not be as great a problem as people think.  Since the All-Star break Boston...
