Despite the Spurs Game 2 blowout loss to the Heat on Sunday 103-84, 4-year guard Danny Green set an NBA Finals record for most consecutive 3-pointers made without a miss (5-5).
According to the NY Post:
Long Island’s Danny Green was perfect last night, even if his Spurs teammates weren’t. In fact, Green set a Finals record for most 3-point makes without a miss.
Green, the Spurs starting shooting guard out of North Babylon, struck for a team-high 17 points on 6-of-6 from the field, including 5-of-5 from beyond the 3-point arc. Green’s five 3-pointers broke the previous 4-for-4 record, set by two Celtics — Paul Pierce (2008) and Scott Wedman (1985).
