It’s starting to look like we may never see Baron Davis in a New York Knicks uniform. It was originally thought that we might see him suiting up at the end of January, now the Knicks are saying Davis won’t even be available before the All-Star break.
“Coach Mike D’Antoni said Davis has had "a setback" in his rehab from a herniated disc and remains out indefinitely.”
Now, with the surging Jeremy Lin taking the spotlight in New York, I’m sure Baron Davis’ health is the last thing on the minds of Knicks fans, especially those that were chanting “M-V-P” for Lin last night. But you never know what could happen. Lin could just be the flavor of the week in a city quick to turn its back on a player that’s struggling in any sport. The Knicks could be in point guard panic mode by next week.
