Line of the Night/Waiver Wire Line of the Night: Two games after being inserted into the starting lineup for Raja Bell, C.J. Miles (2.47) went off against the Wolves, scoring a career high 40 points on 6-7 from three and 14-18 overall. You’ve got to love that performance if you are a Miles owner fighting either in the playoffs or for playoff position. Unfortunately, the Jazz only have one more game this week and don’t play again until Sunday.

In 7 starts this season, Miles is now averaging 22 points a game. While he is by no means a lights out shooter on most nights (he’s shooting 41.6% on the season), grab him if he’s available in your league as he should become a permanent starter for the Jazz the rest of the season. Even Raja Bell agrees with that.

Honorable Mentions: Dirk Nowitzki (2.18) led the Mavs to a comeback win against the Warriors with 34 points and 13 rebounds. He was also a perfect 12-12 from the line; Chris Paul (2.17) continued his strong play after returning from a concussion with 26 points, 9 assists and 3 steals; Elton Brand (1.69) is starting to slow down in the month of March, but last night he was vintage with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots in a win over the Clippers; and as long as you could care less about the free throw percentage category, Dwight Howard (1.15) is the best thing going right now with another huge 31 point, 22 rebound game. That was his 8th 20 rebound game this season.

Pick Up Lines: You can set your watch to it, the Sixers play a game and Jodie Meeks (1.96) shows up on this list. Meeks’ latest pick-up worthy line included 22 points, 5 threes and 6 rebounds against the Clippers. He’s available in over 75% of leagues (a sad indication of how active most leagues are this time of year) and makes a good play in all leagues as long as he continues to start.

We haven’t head much from Richard Hamilton (1.69) this season other than the occasional temper tantrum, but he’s now back in the Pistons’ starting lineup (along with Tracy McGrady and Ben Wallace to form a team that would have been rocking in 2002) and is putting up classic Rip Hamilton lines – including 24 points and 4 threes against the Raptors. Ok, the threes aren’t classic Rip and he’s not going to give you much more than points, but if you’re in need of a scorer, Rip is your man.

A season high 37 minutes on the court for Rodrigue Beaubois (1.52), who scored a season-high 18 points (on 7-11 from the field), with 4 steals. As Nels mentioned the other day, Beaubois’ lines have been all over the place since his return from injury, but the fact that he got 37 minutes is an indication to me that it’s time to pick him up if he’s available in your league.

Speaking of inconsistent, Jared Dudley (1.40) got 33 minutes on the court against the Hornets and scored 25 points, adding 5 threes and 8 rebounds. Despite the streakiness, he’s worth taking a chance on while Channing Frye is out, especially with Hakim Warrick (-0.9) completely disappearing. Warrick didn’t score in 17 minutes on the court and can be dropped in all leagues.

Paul George (1.17) got some extra run in a blowout loss to the Eastern Conference leading Boston Celtics and finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals. I’d like George a lot more over the next few weeks if the Pacers weren’t fighting for a playoff spot, but as it is, expect his minutes to vary a lot from game to game.

The Cavs latest dumpster dive brings them former Eastern Conference leading Boston Celtic power forward Luke Harangody (1.11). Harangody got 25 minutes off the bench against the Kings and scored 15 points with 8 boards and a couple blocks. Byron Scott has been unimpressed with his team’s lackluster effort recently and Harangody will at least play hard.

And Acie Law’s (0.91) minutes have been creeping up recently for the Warriors as he is backing up both Curry and Ellis (when he doesn’t play the entire game). Last night Law got 23 minutes off the bench and finished with 15 points, 6 assists and a couple steals. His upside is limited unless one of those two guys were to get hurt, but he’s available in 100% of leagues right now and is worth a watch in deep leagues.

Biggest Loser: It could be an ugly finish to the season for Stephen Jackson (-1.04) and the Charlotte Bobcats. Wait, let me rephrase that. It WILL be an ugly end to the season for S-Jax. Jackson has lost his mojo post-Gerald Wallace and was 2-14 from the floor and 0-5 from three, scoring 6 points in an ugly loss to the Rockets.
