We happen to have a double standard on this planet. When someone is injured physically, we universally have sympathy and compassion for the person. However if a person displays mental illness, many folks look at that person with contempt. Why does this occur? Perhaps it is due to fear, or ignorance, or maybe it's just a weakness in the person who displays that contempt.

I commend him for taking the necessary steps to overcome his problem. Therapy is a process and with time it will help him develop into a better person emotionally and mentally. I wish him the best!
