Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins did not travel with the team for Wednesday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, according to a report by the Sacramento Bee. Coach Keith Smart decided not to bring Cousins on the trip, according to the report. Cousins was reinstated after a one-game suspension for “unprofessional behavior and conduct detrimental to the team.” However, Smart told the Sacramento Bee the reinstatement meant Cousins could practice, not necessarily play. via ESPN

DeMarcus Cousins Still Not With Team

Nothing is ever easy when it comes to DeMarcus Cousins, and the Sacramento Kings are learning this first-hand. “Boogie” Cousins was recently suspended indefinitely by the team, a suspension that only ended up lasting for one whole game. Well, now he has been reinstated. Which would lead you to believe that he would be with the team and playing in games, right? Well, not necessarily...

DeMarcus Cousins standoffish with media

We all know DeMarcus Cousins has had a challenging year with the Sacramento Kings, but give him credit for not letting his frustrations show. On Thursday, Cousins spoke with the media during practice. As you can see, he was enthusiastic, upbeat, courteous and gave extremely thorough responses. But seriously, how sick of Sacramento is this guy? Cousins missed the last two games as...

Sacramento has a Cousins problem

I guess when you are a struggling team like the Sacramento Kings, “indefinitely” means “one game.” Kings center DeMarcus Cousins was suspended indefinitely after getting into an argument with head coach Keith Smart at halftime of last Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. However, Cousins was reinstated by the Kings on Monday after just one game. He practiced with...

A midwinter night´s dream: DeMarcus Cousins

By now you must have digested most of the gastronomical delicacies of this time of the year. You have met your relatives, enjoyed some interesting chatting about life, work and the future in 2013. It is still possible that you have the chance to enjoy some holidays for the next days. At least that is my situation. You may be there sitting like me, with nothing more to do today than...

How to Fix the Sacramento Kings’ Franchise

Last week at Hoopstuff I detailed possible trade scenarios for former rookie of the year, Tyreke Evans, who still has star potential, but does not fit on the Sacramento Kings. Here is the article if you missed it http://www.thehoopstuff.com/sacramento-kings-it-is-time-to-trade-tyreke-evans/. But after further examination and after the recent suspension of DeMarcus Cousins, for...

Sacramento Kings vs. Portland Trail Blazers prediction and preview

Fourth and final matchup The Portland Trail Blazers have played the Sacramento Kings three times this season, and they’ll play host to their familiar foe one last time Wednesday night. Kings-Trail Blazers Preview

The Sacramento Kings didn't need their leading scorer and rebounder to beat the Portland Trail Blazers in their most recent game. DeMarcus Cousins will at least be at the Rose Garden on Wednesday night, but it remains to be seen if he'll make it onto the court. The volatile big man has been reinstated from his suspension in time for the second leg of this home-and-home...

Thomas Robinson Hammers A Sick Windmill In Garbage Time

And this, my friends, is why you always stick around for the last couple minutes of that blowout.  You’ve already invested some amount of your valuable time into an awful game anyway, so why not make absolutely sure you don’t happen to miss something as spectacular as the windmill slam that Thomas Robinson threw down against the Blazers last night?  While it ultimately goes...

Yippee skippee everybody!!!! DeMarcus Cousins is coming back to the team!!! Hugs and kisses ...

In case the title didn't give it away, you can probably tell that I'm filled to the brim with overreaching pride that DeMarcus Cousins can now return to the court to complain about foul calls, pick up technical fouls, argue with everyone on planet Earth and probably all the characters from "A Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", and kill a teddy bear in a fit of rage...

Cousins boogies out of interview about suspension

Hah… see what I did there with the headline? That’s a much fun as we’re going to have here, people, as the DeMarcus Cousins saga continues its swirl down the toilet in Sacramento. I know a lot of you are openly lobbying for Cousins to join the C’s.  And on pure talent alone, he could be a massive help.  But the guy you see in the video is comes with all that talent, and...

Blazers get revenge with 109-91 win over the Kings

Building Momentum The Portland Trail Blazers took to the court on Wednesday evening as they looked to avenge a loss they suffered just three days ago to the Sacramento Kings. And, after it was all said and done, the Blazers got their revenge as they vanquished the Kings 109-91. Not at all resembling the team that lost to a mediocre Sacramento team just a few days ago, Portland jumped...

DeMarcus Cousins Trade Would Make Sense for Celtics, But Asking Price Likely Starts With Avery Bradley (Podcast)

The Celtics might be in need of a big man, but at what price should they consider going after one? With DeMarcus Cousins ostensibly available due to ongoing issues with the Sacramento Kings, the Celtics would be remiss if they didn’t at least kick the tires and see what the asking price would be for the mercurial center’s talents. While Cousins has had his problems with the Kings...

Blazers get revenge by routing Kings

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Trail Blazers were riding a season-high, five-game winning streak before they lost to the Kings in Sacramento on Sunday. When the teams met again Wednesday night at the Rose Garden, the Blazers could do no wrong and the Kings could do very little right. Portland played stellar on offense, solid on defense and walked off the Rose Garden court with...

Smart Remains Confident Amid Increased Pressure

The Kings plan on keeping Keith Smart at least through 13-14.
