With the Kings possibly on their way out of Sacramento, fans are taking what may be their last opportunity to show support for the NBA team. As part of the “Here We Buy” campaign, fans came out in droves for Saturday night’s game against the Jazz. The game nearly sold out with an attendance of 16,193 out of a 17,317 capacity — Sacramento is averaging a league-worst 13,333 fans per night. The fans let their presence be known throughout the night with loud cheers and chants. That included doing “the wave” late in the 120-109 Kings win, and troubled center DeMarcus Cousins even joined along in the fun. (No one tell Sacramento fans that “the wave” gained popularity in Seattle at a 1981 University of Washington football game.) Watch Cousins join in with the fans in the video below.

DeMarcus Cousins joins Kings fans in the 'wave' (Video)

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins and some of his Kings teammates on the bench joined the home fans as they did the "wave" during the final minutes of Saturday night's 120-109 win over the Utah Jazz at Sleep Train Arena. Cousins was resting on the bench after having scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 29 minutes, so he earned a moment to relax and...

POTD 2/10/13: Jeremy Lin on Francisco Garcia

Did you know Jeremy Lin has a dunk mix on Youtube?  Neither did I.  With a duration of a minute and 25 seconds, I’d say it’s surprisingly long… but it goes all the way back to his collegiate career and is mostly composed of clips from summer league games and layup lines.  Only one actual NBA dunk is included — the one he threw down against the Wizards during the height...

Isaiah Thomas scored 25 points and Marcus Thornton had 24 for the Sacramento Kings in a 120-109 victory over the Utah Jazz on Saturday night. It was a boisterous crowd of 16,193 that was chanting ''Sacramento!'' just before tipoff in support of the Kings, who could be sold and move to Seattle next season. Sacramento led throughout most of the game and played an...

POTD 2/9/13: Jason Thompson on Derrick Favors

It was a perfect storm at Arco Arena on Saturday night when the Utah Jazz, a horrible road team, rolled into Sacramento for their fourth game in three nights.  There, they encountered not only the Kings, but 16,193 energetic fans who’d come out as part of a special initiative to show support for the struggling team.  It was essentially a protest against the proposed sale of the...

Jeremy Lin swats a shot and then goes coast to coast for a dunk on Francisco Garcia

Kings 117, Rockets 111

Isaiah Thomas scored 17 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and John Salmons also had 23 points to help rally the Sacramento Kings to a 117-111 victory over the Houston Rockets on Sunday. The Kings were trailing by 10 points early in the fourth quarter, but Thomas led an offense that was difficult for the Rockets to match in the fourth quarter. Houston was outscored 17-7 over...

Jazz-Kings Preview

The second meeting this week between the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings could be the last one ever. In search of a bounce-back performance Saturday night, the Jazz are looking to again capitalize on the lowly Kings, who now seem more likely to move north on a map than in the standings. Utah (28-23) has taken two of three season meetings versus Sacramento (17-33), including Monday...
