Finally Brian Shaw can breathe a sigh of relief, well at least for the time being. After going years of interviewing for head coaching positions the former Lakers and now Pacers assistant coach has finally done it.
The Denver Nuggets have decided to hire Shaw as their head coach. After winning 57 games last season and making a quick exit in the NBA playoffs the Nuggets decided that it was time to move on from Coach of the Year George Karl, a move that shocked many, but now leads to Shaw getting his opportunity to shine.
Many felt like when Phil Jackson retired from the Lakers that Shaw would be his heir apparent, but the Lakers went with Coach Mike Brown, who only last a season and five games with the team. Shaw took his talents to the Indiana Pacers where he has been vital in not only the development of players like Paul George but their Head Coach Frank Vogel.
