- The Denver Nuggets deserve a lot of credit, as they are perhaps the NBA’s most persistent “never say die” team. They first lost superstar Carmelo Anthony to a bigger media market in New York two years ago. Following the loss of Anthony, they defied critics and created a new successes with a team first style of basketball. Next, they retooled and traded for the explosive Andre Iguodala, a move that seemed to be a perfect fit to match the team’s new high energy style of play. For whatever the reason, Iguodala also bailed, this time after only one season, to sign with Golden State. It would seem that every time Denver brings in a star or builds a team around a certain player, that the player leaves and they have to start all over again and remodel.
