Strongest: Acquiring Afflalo
The Nuggets had a very strong offseason and they got the steal of the year acquiring Afflalo for just Evan Fournier and a second round pick. If Afflalo was on a better team last season he would have been an All Star, averaging 18.2 points per game on 42.7 percent shooting from three and 47.3 percent from inside the arc, good for 45 percent overall, 3.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists while playing very good perimeter defense. How they were able to pull off this deal I will never understand. Fournier was a first round pick in 2012 and a serviceable back up last season, playing 76 games while starting 4, averaging 8.4 points per game with 2.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, nowhere near the production that Afflalo put up in Orlando the past two seasons ...
