Derek Fisher has announced that he will be released from the Jazz, leaving the $20 million on his contract so that he can spend time with his child as they work to settle the medical issues that the Fisher family struggled with over the past several months. Fisher is not retiring. However, he doesn't plan to play this upcoming season.
