Last Thursday, the Lakers were involved in two trades and one of them sent Derek Fisher to Houston. Fisher won’t suit up for the Rockets because he has reached a buyout agreement with them. Fisher is looking to join a championship contender, so he can try to win his sixth championship.
Here is statement for Fisher’s website:
After much discussion and expressing their desire to welcome Derek to their team this season as well as the 2012-2013 season, the Houston Rockets and Derek have negotiated a buyout.
Derek’s desire to win a sixth championship is what drives him and will continue to drive him as he moves forward.
ESPN is reporting that Fisher has a strong interest in the Bulls or the Heat.
