PLAYERS: Deron Williams
TEAMS: Brooklyn Nets
Nets Deron Williams recently dropped $15.8 million on a 6,800 square foot penthouse just across the Brooklyn Bridge in Tribeca. Check out the deets on his new spot and of course check out a few photos: The six-bedroom, 4 1/2-bathroom residence in the Merchant’s House condo conversion, a building that dates back to 1905, also features a sprawling 3,000 square feet of outdoor space. The unit includes a modern great room with 17-foot ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight. Other highlights include sliding glass doors that open onto a Zen-like Japanese garden and a floating staircase. The “restaurant-grade” stainless-steel kitchen comes with a commercial range and dishwasher plus two industrial refrigerators, and there’s also an “oversized climate-controlled wine room.”  The residence comes with two garage spaces.   Photos via elliman.com

Nets Player Mirza Teletovic Air Balls Three Strait Jump Shots (Video)

It's not often you see NBA players air ball jump shots unless the shot gets tipped.  Mirza Teletovic of the Brooklyn Nets accomplished this feat last night.....three consecutive times.  Although Mirza only averages about eight minutes and 3.4 points a game, he still needs to shoot better than this.  I would almost have to compare this to a hat trick in soccer or hockey...

Nets rookie Mirza Teletovic shoots three straight airballs, promptly benched

Brooklyn Nets rookie Mirza Teletovic is only averaging 8 minutes per game. And just in case you’re wondering why Teletovic is only averaging 8 minutes a game, he made it abundantly clear in last night’s game against the Pistons when he shot three straight airballs and promptly took a seat on the bench. Much to Reggie Evans’ enjoyment. The post Nets rookie Mirza Teletovic shoots...

Kobe dunks on Nets' Humphries and Wallace at Barclays; Gets M-V-P chant

Even after 14 All-Star seasons, Kobe Bryant has been called just about everything while visiting an NBA opponent's building.  But one thing he is usually never called outside the comfy confines of Staple Center is, "M-V-P!." Bryant didn't hear the chant only once during the Lakers game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center Tuesday night — but three...

Nets forward Mirza Teletovic shows off shooting prowess by airballing three consecutive shots

Maybe sit this next one out, Champ. Brooklyn rookie Mirza Teletovic had the dubious honor Wednesday night of shooting airballs on three consecutive possessions in the third quarter of the Nets game against the Detroit Pistons. With his team up 74-73, Teletovic attempted a wide open 3-pointer that wasn’t even close. On the following trip down the floor he tried a fallaway jumper...

Video: Mirza Teletovic took three shots and air balled each one

I’m going to be honest with you, I didn’t have any idea as to who Mirza Teletovic was until last night when I was watching the Brooklyn Nets and the Detroit Pistons. Just before he hoisted his first shot of the evening, Nets’ announcer Ian Eagle said, this is why he is in the game…air ball. Now, I’m assuming Eagle meant that he was there to knockdown threes. But then, Teletovic...

Nets Poised To Make A Run At A Championship

While the Brooklyn Nets have cooled off a bit since their blistering run that followed the firing of its head coach in December, they remain in the hunt for a high-seed come playoff time thanks in large part the continued high production from its “core four.”

Nets’ Mirza Teletovic Airballs Three Consecutive Shots

Nets rookie forward, Mirza Teletovic, airballed three consecutive shots in under a minute during the fourth quarter of Brooklyn’s 93-90 victory over the Pistons Wednesday:

Game 49 Recap: Nets 93, Pistons 90. The One Where The Second Half Picked Up The First

Reggie Evans led the Nets in the first half with eight points and 10 rebounds, a first half in which the team as a whole played poorly   I feel like I say this a lot about the games in which the Nets play bad teams, but tonight was ugly yet turned into a win for Brooklyn. The first half was pretty atrocious, especially the second quarter in which the reserves let...

Game 48 Recap: Lakers 92, Nets 83. The One Where Brook's 30 Wasn't Enough

Kobe put on a second-half show to led the Lakers to a win tonight   No Dwight Howard, no Metta World Peace, no problem. After a third-quarter surge by the home-team Nets to take back the lead, the Lakers--led by a heating-up Kobe Bryant--edged Brooklyn, their 10th-straight win over the Nets. Sweeping the season series, LA led by nine points at half before Brooklyn...

Nets-Pistons Preview

After opening 2013 with their best stretch of the season, the Brooklyn Nets have fallen way off that pace lately. A visit to Detroit is probably not coming at the most opportune time. Brooklyn will try to snap a string of 10 straight road losses to the Pistons on Wednesday night. The Nets (28-20) were riding high after winning 10 of 11 last month, but things began to turn with...
