Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams told GQ Magazine in an interview that he saw a UFO during superstorm Sandy. GQ: Where were you during the hurricane? What was your Sandy experience like? We live in downtown Manhattan, so like everybody else downtown, we lost power around 8 p.m. on Monday, and didn't get it back until the following Saturday. We also had a whole bunch of family in town for the Nets-Knicks game, so we had about thirteen people living with us under our roof. There was nowhere we could all really go because there was no availability in any of the hotels. We had no cell reception, no power, really nothing. It was starting to get really cold. I didn't even know about all the damage that'd been done until I got the power back and started catching up on everything. We had no Twitter or anything, so I didn't know the extent of what was going on in Staten Island or the Jersey Shore, or any of the other spots where got it really bad. GQ: Was there a particul...

This just in. Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams claims to have seen a UFO over New York City during superstorm Sandy. That's right. A real life UFO. Here's the snippet from his interview with GQ Magazine in which Williams explains:GQ: Was there a particular "New York moment" during the Hurricane? Did you see something that'd made you think, "That'd...

Many were affected on the East Coast when Hurricane Sandy hit. The hurricane took a huge toll on people and left many people without a house now. Even professional athletes and teams were affected, including a game between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets being cancelled because of it.
Deron Williams experienced a lot of it, along with a lot of other...
Andray Blatche had 15 points, Brook Lopez added 14 points and 10 rebounds and the Brooklyn Nets beat the Orlando Magic 107-68 Friday night.
Brooklyn never trailed while snapping a 10-game losing streak to Orlando that dated to 2009.
E'Twaun Moore led the Magic with 18 points, and Arron Afflalo finished with 12.
The Nets dominated inside, with Lopez and Blatche pushing around...
The Brooklyn Nets moved to a new arena in a new city, but the start of the season has that same old Nets feel. The slow-starting Nets we remember from New Jersey may have crossed the Hudson disguised as a new team from Brooklyn.
The Nets fell to 1-2 on the season Wednesday night, losing by [...]

Regardless if the Nets weren’t on NBA TV’s “The Association” or had rap mogul Jay-Z as their unofficial mascot, the Nets were bound to draw attention when they packed up their bags and exited the Atlantic Avenue stop en route to the Barclays Center. And the Nets knew the attention would come, but in the short-term they are trying to ignore it.
Mikhail Prokhorov has shown the world the extent of his super-human talents. From turning the fall of the U.S.S.R. into capitalist gold and moving a whole basketball franchise from New Jersey to Brooklyn in a single bound, the obscenely wealthy playboy is worthy of some kind of Tony Stark-type notoriety.
Now, you can add comic-book star to the Brooklyn Nets owner list of accomplishments...
Post-game Reaction: Brooklyn Nets 107, Orlando Magic 68. “It was a good win” Avery Johnson said, the head coach of the Brooklyn Nets after Brooklyn's dominating 39 point victory over Orlando. The Nets ran out of the gates quickly jumping out to a quick 8 point lead 12-4, after Brook Lopez set the tone early,
Orlando was very much in a race against Brooklyn. Time was not on its side after digging a 22-point deficit in the first quarter and looking like a Friday repeat was on the way. Brook Lopez, Kris Humphries and Reggie Evans dominated the offensive glass, getting the Nets plenty of extra possessions to build the lead.
The Magic were not going to lay down again. They were not going...
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Maybe it's a sign of the changing times in the NBA or the rapid improvement of the Brooklyn Nets, but try this on for size: Before the weekend, the Nets had not defeated the Magic in almost three years, dating back to 2009 in a stretch that lasted 10 games. But coming off the huge 39-point win over the Magic in Orlando Friday night and their 82-74 victory over...
ORLANDO -- The Brooklyn Nets looked more like the playoff team they are expecting to become this season while the Orlando Magic looked like a team heading to the lottery. Evidence of that occured when the Nets blasted the Magic 107-68 Friday night. The Nets, who were coming off a 30-point loss against the host Miami Heat on Wednesday, got five players in double figures and scoring...
