Derrick Favors known at this point of his career as a defensive guy but not much of an offensive threat. Derrick came to the Jazz as the major piece in the Deron Williams trade. It was quite obvious then that he was coveted by the Jazz being the major piece in a trade where the Jazz gave up their all-star point guard to get him plus further assets. His first couple years in Utah were slow progressing playing behind Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap and only getting limited minutes. At that time he also struggled with foul problems as his defensive nature made him react to every ball fake and try to block everything around the rim.
