Found February 04, 2014 on Holdout Sports:
Sacramento Kings backup forward Derrick Williams stole a pass and was in position to score a wide-open basket with 3:15 left in the fourth quarter and a 28-point lead over Chicago. However, Williams tried to get a bit too fancy by tossing himself an alley-oop pass off the backboard. Sadly, it didn't go as planned. The good news is that Williams probably earned himself a spot on a SportsCenter highlight reel. The bad news is that Williams is likely to show up on the Not Top 10 List. Something tells us that next time Williams will just shoot the layup.H/T Sports Grid. This post appeared first on Holdout Sports. Follow us on Twitter @HoldoutSports.

Derrick Williams Off The Backboard Dunk Attempt Is Epic Fail (Video)

This failed dunk attempt by Derrick Williams tells you all you need to know about the Sacramento Kings. The Kings thumped the Chicago Bulls by 29 on Monday, but all anybody will probably remembers is this ugly, failed off the backboard dunk attempt by Williams. “I didn’t know what I wanted to do,” Williams said of the kind of dunk he was attempting. Kings coach Michael Malone...

Sacramento Kings to be buyers at trade deadline

The Kings are on a seven-game losing streak and sit in last place in the Western Conference, 11 and a half games out of the final playoff spot. Still, that’s not stopping them from seeking upgrades at the trade deadline, according to Chad Ford’s “Tank Rank” piece for ESPN Insider. Ford hears the Kings are looking to acquire talent rather than sell it off as they attempt a...

DeMarcus Cousins on Mike Dunleavy Jr.: 'He's a clown'

There's bad blood between DeMarcus Cousins and Mike Dunleavy Jr. There's no doubt about it.The latest evidence came when Cousins called Dunleavy "a clown" to reporters Monday night.“He’s a clown,” Cousins said. “And he’s scared. I wouldn’t even waste my time if I ever saw him outside of the gym. He’s a clown.”Aside from the heated exchanges between...

DeMarcus Cousins And Mike Dunleavy Have Beef

These may be two of the most unlikely NBA players to cross paths and trash talk one another.  But, Bulls’  Mike Dunleavy and Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins definitely have some beef and let it be known as they exchanged jabs at one another through the media. It all started with Cousins calling Dunleavy a “clown” after  the Kings win over the Bulls earlier this week and Tuesday...

Kings Thought Rudy Gay Would Return To Form Playing With Strong Low Post Scorers

Mike Malone thought that Rudy Gay would return to his Memphis Grizzlies' form with the Sacramento Kings when playing with strong low-post players as he did with Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. “You look at Toronto’s roster, and no disrespect to (big men) Jonas (Valanciunas) or Amir (Johnson), but they don’t have a true low-post presence,” Malone said. “We just thought...

Video: D.J. Augustin Tried To Spike The Ball Off Of Jimmer Fredette’s Face, Jimmer Answers With Three In His Eye

Tonight, the Sacramento Kings demolished the Chicago Bulls 99-70 at Sleep Train Arena, and Bulls PG D.J. Augustin was not a happy camper. Not only did he struggle offensively, where he was 2-for-11 from the field, but he also got abused a bit on the defensive end as well. At one point late in the game, Augustin had a pass intended for him picked off by Jimmer Fredette, who was matched...

Bulls' Mike Dunleavy isn't one to "clown" around

Mike Dunleavy either doesn't do social media or is very into game preparation. After Tuesday night's victory over the Suns, the Bulls' forward claimed he hadn't heard that Kings center DeMarcus Cousins called him "a clown" late Monday night in Sacramento. The players' history dates to last season, when Cousins got ejected for elbowing Dunleavy, then...

Raptors, Kings both have improved since Rudy Gay trade

Trades that work out for both teams are few and far between in any league at any time of the year. But when you trade a potential franchise player away and don’t get one back it’s that much more rare. Now 59 days since the Toronto Raptors traded forward Rudy Gay along with little-used bench players Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray for Patrick Patterson, John Salmons, Greivis Vasquez...

DeMarcus Cousins on Mike Dunleavy: ‘He’s a clown, and he’s scared’

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins has a problem with Chicago Bulls forward Mike Dunleavy that dates back to last season. When Dunleavy was playing with the Milwaukee Bucks, Cousins was ejected for elbowing him in the head. The two both picked up technicals before the ejection while fighting for position. The bad blood apparently still […]

Kings rout Bulls to end seven-game losing streak

It would be easy to say the Kings’ defense benefited from playing the Chicago Bulls, who struggle to score most nights. But more than once this season, Sacramento has shown it can make even the most pedestrian offenses look like scoring machines. Monday night at Sleep Train Arena, the Kings didn’t allow the Bulls to put up season highs. It was the Kings, not the usually stout...

Raptors-Kings Preview

The Toronto Raptors' decision to trade Rudy Gay was seen largely as a move aimed at financial flexibility. Since the deal, though, they've been one of the better teams in the NBA. Toronto will face Gay for the first time since trading him when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Gay shifted teams for the second time in less than two seasons as part of a...

How The Raptors Can Beat The Kings

It would be a mistake to think there are any easy wins for the Toronto Raptors as even the last place Sacramento Kings are a team that can trip up the unwary visitor.
