Did Grizzlies know something we didn't?

Last season the Grizzlies were absolutely ripped by most media members and fans for trading Pau Gasol to the Lakers for Jarvis Crittenton, Kwame Brown, Aaron Mckie, and Marc Gasol. Many believed that the Grizzles basically bent over for Laker GM Mitch Kupchak by giving away their best player for the raw Crittenton and uninspiring Brown. It is becoming clearer now that this trade may end up being more even than we initially thought.
