Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett responded to the rumors that the Los Angeles Clippers are trying to acquire him in a trade.
The Celtics, now 23-23, will play their toughest game this week tomorrow afternoon against the Clippers. The Clippers are a terrific 34-14 and third place in the western conference. Personally, I think they are the favorite to win the title. Remember, there's no Jared Sullinger, so it'll be tough. Here are tomorrow's five things:
5. KEEP BARBOSA HOT:
It was only just over a week ago that we learned that the Celtics would be without (probably) their best player, Rajon Rondo, for the remainder of the season. Since that time, Boston has gone 4-0.
Are the Celtics somehow a better team without their point guard?
That may be a question for another day, but right now we’re asking what player has stepped up the most in Rondo’s absence...

I grade on a curve!
Kevin Garnett: 12 Points, 5 Rebounds
Garnett's impact in this game cannot be measured by his points or rebounds. He didn't do too much in those department but his defense was stupendous. He completely did his best to take away a major weapon...
In 18 years as an NBA player, Grant Hill has seen every shape and style of coach. He was reunited, briefly, with one of his former coaches on Sunday afternoon.
Doc Rivers, whose Celtics handed Hill and the Los Angeles Clippers a 106-104 defeat, coached Hill for three-plus seasons in Orlando. Although Hill’s time with the Magic was marred by injuries and Rivers’ final season with...
The Celtics are feeling pretty good about their recent success without two of their key players and are looking to continue building on it. They are feeling more comfortable with the run and gun style and have found it has made them more aggressive with their attacks.
They have managed to beat the Miami Heat during this revival of grit and balls; but since the Heat are a natural...
Tweet With Rajon Rondo’s torn ACL removing him from the NBA All-Star game, Brook Lopez was recently announced as his replacement on the roster. However, what has yet to be addressed is who will take Rondo’s spot in the starting lineup for the Eastern Conference. Many people believed that Cavs guard Kyrie Irving was the [...]
Caron Butler taught Jonas Valanciunas an important lesson on Friday night — never trust a crafty veteran.
With Butler’s Clippers down 98-71 with 17 seconds remaining, Valanciunas dribbled the ball to half court to run out the clock. Butler went to high five the Raptors center, and pried the ball out of his hands.
Valanciunas fouled Butler before he could get to the hoop for a...
8 a.m. ET: Not every team responds to the loss of a star point guard as positively as the Celtics have.
The Celtics (23-23), who are 3-0 without Rajon Rondo, host the Pacific-leading Clippers (34-14), who are struggling while Chris Paul recovers from a bruised right kneecap. The Clips are 2-4 since Paul went down, not including the loss in which Paul was injured. They have fallen...
Behind the Captain’s 22 points, including a clutch trey with 2 seconds left, the Celtics beat the Los Angeles Clippers 106-104 yesterday. C’s are now off until Wednesday when they face the Raptors in Toronto. Tip-off is at 7:00pm EST.

Kevin Garnett won't be waiving the no-trade clause in his contract. That is, unless Paul Pierce is traded.
That's according to sportswriter Shaun Powell. And there's a second condition for a KG trade. He'll only go to Los Angeles because he lives in Malibu.
The Sporting News reported Sunday that the Clippers were offering Eric Bledsoe and Caron
Paul Pierce came up big late against the ClippersI know two things to be true about the 2013 Celtics. The first: If something is too good to be true (ie. a first half offensive explosion and lockdown defense), it likely is. The second: No lead is safe, specifically no lead under 20.Boston tried VERY hard to lose the game in the fourth quarter this afternoon, blowing all but two points...
Following the Wizards 98-90 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, I managed to catch Randy Wittman’s post game press conference. Coach Wittman talked about his teams consistency, recent improvements, and what he’s been telling the team to motivate them before each game. The Wizards have won six of their last seven home games and have now [...]
