Looks like he lent the Heat a helping hand…I mean foot. Miami and Atlanta met up Monday night in a matchup between the Southeast Division’s top two teams.  The Heat walked away with the 101-92 LeBron James’ game high 27 points, Dwyane Wade’s 26 points, and some fancy footwork by referee Karl Lane. With the Heat down by one late in the second quarter, James rebounded a Hawks miss and started the fast break with an outlet pass to Mario Chalmers.  LeBron’s pass was a bit too strong and ended up being just out of Chalmers’ reach, but no worries, since Lane kicked his left leg out to keep the ball inbounds.  Chalmers corralled the loose ball before passing it to the streaking LeBron, who finished the rush with an easy layup. As you can see in the clip some of the Hawks players were visibly upset, and after careful dissection of the video, it looks as if their anger has some merit.  Looks pretty blatant to me, and unless someone with more insight can correct me on this, it looks as if the official gave the Heat an intentional foot assist. Wonder what disgraced former NBA referee Tim Donaghy would have to say about this?
