That NBA Lottery Pick:
Back on Tuesday, the Dallas Mavericks defeated the New York Knicks and one young kid had the night of his life.
In the above photograph, Dirk Nowitzki goes over to hang-five the young man and afterwards as seen in the below photo, the kid takes of picture of his hand to cherish the moment:

On days like today, which have been pretty disappointing for me from a sports standpoint (see here and here), I’m glad there are sites like Reddit I can go to and be assured of a quick, cheap, probably sophomoric chuckle.
Sometimes you just need a quick, cheap, sophomoric chuckle.
This image, and the first comment on it, did just that for me:
It wasn't a postseason game Tuesday night at American Airlines Center but Dirk Nowitzki's second-half emotion would certainly allow some to believe it was.
The Mavericks superstar scored 24 of his game-high 28 points in the second half, helping Dallas hang on for a 95-85 win over the New York Knicks.
"I loved the emotion that he showed tonight," Kidd said of...
Hmm. Well, okay. If he wants to believe that. To me, this fellow, who, whenever he gazes upon himself in the mirror, says to himself, “Man, I look just like Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki,” much more resembles a combination of individuals whose DNA has been all mixed up to create some clone-like being. Just [...]

The NBA announced Wednesday it fined Mavericks point guard Jason Kidd $25,000 for criticizing officials following his team's 95-91 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
Talking to reporters in the locker room following the game, Kidd questioned a foul called against Mavericks center Ian Mahinmi in the final minute of the game, the Dallas Morning News reported.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban had a plan last summer, he executed it and he won't apologize if someone doesn't like it. After winning his first NBA title, Cuban chose not to extend a long-term offer to Tyson Chandler because he felt it hurt his chances at greatly improving the franchise this summer.
Despite Chandler's success with the New York Knicks, Cuban has no...
Dirk Nowitzki was droppin' F-bombs and slapping children's hands - all at the same time, which isn't exactly approved by your local school district but worked for the Mavs on Tuesday in their skid-bustin' 95-85 win over the visiting Knicks. NEW YORK (AP) -- The NBA has fined Dallas Mavericks guard Jason Kidd 25,000 for criticizing the officiating in a game earlier this week.
Kidd was fined for comments he made following the Mavericks' 95-91 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
The fine was announced Wednesday by Stu Jackson, the NBA's executive vice president of basketball operations.
THE BLONDE BOMBER! Intelligent promo….
It’s pretty obvious that the Dallas Mavericks aren’t the same team they were when they won the championship last year. The loss of Tyson Chandler, J.J. Barea and Caron Butler weakened the team a lot more than the Mavs would like to admit, but the record doesn’t lie.
The Mavs had the infamous “championship hangover” and got off to a slow start. They’ve recovered a little...
The Dallas Mavericks haven't won away from home in nearly three weeks, and their upcoming stretch of three road games in three nights may have come at an inopportune time.
They have a solid chance of ending that streak, though, considering their recent dominance of the Phoenix Suns.
Dallas looks to avoid a fifth straight road loss Thursday night by sweeping another season series...
Whew! Thank goodness that game is over and Dallas got the win over the New York Knicks tonight. It took Dallas a while to get on the board and for Dirk Nowitzki to get warmed up, but when both finally starting clicking, whoa nellie, it was on, well until the fourth quarter again.
Dirk scored only 4 points in the first half of tonight’s game, but finished with 28 points which included...
The Dallas Mavericks concluded their long-lasting championship celebration tonight by honoring the final, and arguably most important, member of last year’s team in Tyson Chandler by giving him his ring.
As is well known, Chandler moved on to the New York Knicks during the offseason when the Mavericks chose not to pursue the franchise altering center for anything near the $58 million...
To sound ‘cool’ or ‘inside,’ jockworld Woodward-Bernstein wanna-bes often misuse ‘sources.’ Preferred is on-the-record and for attribution – which is exactly what DB.com has done with Mavs GM Donnie Nelson on Haywood and Marion’s future and Dallas being deadline ‘buyers vs. sellers.' It's on-the-record and it's Inside Mavs HQ: ‘Our approach,’ Donnie...
