Found July 26, 2009 on
dallasnews.com:
The Mavs reportedly gave journeyman Drew Gooden the bulk of their
midlevel exception to fill the void left by Brandon Bass' departure.
Several outlets report that the 6-10, 250-pound Gooden signed a one-
year deal worth $4.5 million plus incentives.
"Dallas here I come," Gooden tweeted.
The Mavs will be Gooden's seventh team, but he's only 27 and has
respectable career averages of 12.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.
More to come when I return from vacation tomorrow.
