Drew Gooden coming to Dallas

The Mavs reportedly gave journeyman Drew Gooden the bulk of their midlevel exception to fill the void left by Brandon Bass' departure. Several outlets report that the 6-10, 250-pound Gooden signed a one- year deal worth $4.5 million plus incentives. "Dallas here I come," Gooden tweeted. The Mavs will be Gooden's seventh team, but he's only 27 and has respectable career averages of 12.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. More to come when I return from vacation tomorrow.
