Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard has had a rough last year. After Dwightmare, Howard hasn't been able to keep himself healthy for any long stretches of time. His latest injury is a re-aggravation to his right shoulder. He had was about to shoot after grabbing an offensive board when he was fouled on a block attempt by Shannon Brown. Howard fell down and immediately clutched his shoulder, causing him to leave the game. Mike D'Antoni believes Howard should be back in a few days.D'Antoni on Dwight's shoulder: "My understanding is, it hurts, it'll go away in a couple of days and he can play."— Ken Berger (@KBergCBS) January 31, 2013 According to the Mike Bresnahan of the LA Times and Ben Pollakoff of ProBasketball Talk, Howard does not consider surgery an option at this point in the season, which would render him sidelined for six months.“Numbness just went all down my arm and my neck,” he said. “It was pretty bad when it happened.”“I’m going to try as much as I can,” he said. “I don’t want to cause more damage to my shoulder.”"Two years of having injuries is not something that's easy to deal with, but I won't lose my spirit," said Howard.Kobe Bryant, whose been through all sorts of injures in his extensive career, assures fans that this is nothing to worry about."I'm not worried about it," Kobe Bryant said. "It is going to be an all-season thing. That's how those type of injuries are with the labrum. I've had them before. Lamar [Odom], when he was here, had them before. When you get banged like that going up, you're going to get that stinging sensation. That's just how it's going to be."You just accept it. After a while, you kind of get used to playing with it, but it's a little bit of an adjustment at first."Perhaps Dwight and the Lakers will have to deal with this all season, but its not much worse than what's been happening the entire season. Almost entirely out of playoff contention already, the Lakers have gone from championship contenders to a team looking to find its way. It is not going to get any easier. Without their defensive big man alongside Mike D'Antoni's offensive style of coaching, things may get a lot worse in Los Angeles. However, it all depends on how frequent these aggravations will occur and the length of time Howard will be out for.All in all, it hasn't been a pretty season for the Los Angeles Lakers.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ?
